You should prioritize your interest in the subject and the culture of the institute, not the tagline. There is nothing to do with the tagline here. Try to figure out your interest and go ahead with it. Both institutes are highly reputed in India and are excellent at academics, infrastructure, and faculties.
So, choose the institute based on your preferences.
Both NIT Kurukshetra and YMCA Faridabad are great engineering colleges with their own strengths and weaknesses. Here are a few points of differences between the two that might help you decide better

Apart from placements, you can consider other factors like location, campus, society, etc Overall, NIT Kurukshetra is a much better choice than YMCA.
You can get a branch change at NIT Kurukshetra, after the first year. But for that, you’ll have to work hard and be among the toppers in your branch.
Even if you end up in Production, it has good opportunities in PSUs. But for that, you’ll have to crack GATE with a good rank. For example, ONGC offers really good vacancies for Production Engineers who have cracked GATE. Campus recruitment scenario isn’t that great for core jobs, but you’ll have some options in the NIT campus.
I recommend you study hard and get a branch transfer to COE/IT at NIT Kurukshetra. However, even if that doesn’t happen, you can sit for GATE. Also, there’s core and non-core jobs that you can get through campus placements.

Students at the YMCA in Faridabad are excellent. Many students in the top branches have AIRs that are less than 10000. Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering students will have numerous opportunities to work for companies such as Samsung, HCL, TCS, Thoughtworks, Grape City, Suzuki, Eicher, Daikin, and others.
If you are a good student, you will get a good starting package. There are many YMCA IE students working in PSU's like BHEL, NTPC, BARC, ISRO, IES, and IAS because the stuff coming out of YMCA is excellent, and they are on par with any student studying in BITS or any NIT.
YMCA Faridabad is better for a CS degree. It has an impressive placement record. Students with decent grades receive good placement offers through campus drive. The recent placement highlights of YMCA placements show the highest CTC offered to be INR 29.92 LPA. Reputed companies such as Amazon, SquadRun, etc. take part in the campus drive.

YMCA Faridabad is better than UIET Chandigarh. It has an impressive placement record. It is also widely recognized in the industry. The coding culture of the institute is pretty active. Recent YMCA Faridabad placements concluded with the highest CTC of INR 29.92 LPA. Top recruiters’ list included names such as Samsung, HCL, Flipkart, etc.

For a B.Tech in CS or IT, YMCAUST, Faridabad is better. It has a better CSE faculty. The placement and exposure offered are also better than DCRUST, Murthal. Better CS/IT companies visit YMCA, Faridabad placements. According to the recent placement highlights, the highest CTC offered is around INR 29 LPA.

No, PEC Chandigarh is way ahead of YMCA UST. PEC has a higher cutoff, hence a better student crowd. It also has a smaller batch size, so every student gets the required attention. PEC Chandigarh placements are better. The average and highest CTC for the institute are INR 10.83 LPA and INR 42 LPA, respectively.
Situated in Chandigarh, PEC also has a locational advantage. You will receive better exposure.

Having known some people studying in both these colleges, I can share some information about them. This might help you make a decision.
Student Crowd:
College Life:
Hostels:
Placements:
| Categories | YMCA Faridabad | DCRUST Murthal |
| Placement Percentage | 80% | 70-80% |
| Highest CTC | 28 LPA | 8.21 LPA |
| Average CTC | 12 LPA | 4-5 LPA |
| Recruiting Companies | Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, etc. | Tech Mahindra, Bosch, Fidelity, Jindal Iron and Steel, etc. |
Both the colleges are more or less good to pursue your studies. Though it is suggested that if placements are your primary concern, go for YMCA. DCRUST will help you more with research-based knowledge.

YMCA Faridabad will be an excellent choice to pursue CSE. The institute offers great placement opportunities. Some of the best companies visit the campus like Infoedge, Samsung, Infosys, IOCL, Amazon, TCS, Cadence Design Systems, and more.
NIT Manipur has top placements in the CSE branch, followed by ECE. It will give you the NIT Tag and exposure. You can get a chance to sit in pool placements.
The fee and placement details are as follows:
| Criteria | YMCA Faridabad | NIT Manipur |
| Fee | INR 2.96 Lakhs | INR 5.51 Lakhs |
| Average Package | INR 6 LPA | INR 8.21 LPA |
| Highest Package | INR 28.75 LPA | INR 42.5 LPA |
The return on investment (ROI) of both the colleges is well with great packages. The drawback of NIT Manipur is the distance and language barrier. Overall, considering all the above points, you can make a choice.
