Uka Tarsadia University offers a full time Ph.D program and Part time Ph.D program. Duration of Full time Ph.D program is minimum for 3 years and a maximum of 6 years, whereas duration of Part time Ph.D program is minimum for 4 years and a maximum of 7 years. Various streams are offered under Ph.D programs. The objective of the Ph.D program is to keep pace with the expanding frontiers of knowledge and to provide research training relevant to the present socio-economic and technological need.

• The streams offered are, namely English, Commerce, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Computer Science and Mathematics.
• The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to Ph.D program is the candidate shall have a master's degree or a professional degree equivalent to the Master's degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in the qualifying Entrance Test.

Uka Tarsadia University Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D program should possess a master's degree or a professional degree equivalent to the Master's degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-Point scale. A relaxation of 5% of marks will be given to those belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.
