AAU Anand Admission Dates 2026

AAU UG admissions follow a dual-route system: 85% state quota through GUJCET and ACPC counselling, and 15% All India Quota through ICAR AIEEA. BVSc and AH admissions use NEET UG scores. The 2026-27 academic session admissions are currently in progress.

AAU does not have a management quota. All seats are filled through government-administered counselling. The following table lists the exam route for each programme family.

AAU Anand Courses and Fees

AAU Anand offers one of the most comprehensive programme portfolios among state agricultural universities in India, covering agriculture, horticulture, veterinary science, dairy technology, food science, and agricultural engineering. All fees are government-regulated and among the lowest in their respective programme categories.

M.Sc dairy-discipline specialisations (Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Engineering, Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Technology) carry fees of INR 71,100, reflecting the specialised laboratory infrastructure required. B.Tech Dairy Science is offered at a lower total fee of INR 81,900 due to its government-aided positioning within the cooperative dairy ecosystem.

AAU Anand Admission Process

All AAU admissions are merit-based with no management quota. Gujarat domicile students are admitted through GUJCET (agriculture stream) for B.Sc and B.Tech programmes. BVSc and AH uses NEET UG as the qualifying exam. PG admissions are centralised through ICAR.

B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture, and B.Tech Programmes

• Eligibility: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Mathematics for engineering-linked B.Tech) with 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST)
• 85% seats: GUJCET merit rank, followed by ACPC Gujarat centralised counselling at acpc.gujarat.gov.in
• 15% AIQ seats: ICAR AIEEA UG merit rank, followed by ICAR counselling
• Gujarat state reservation norms apply: SC 7%, ST 15%, SEBC (OBC) 27%, EWS 10%; PwBD candidates receive 5% horizontal reservation

BVSc and AH

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with 50% aggregate; age minimum 17 years
• Admission through NEET UG merit rank; state quota seats counselled through Gujarat’s veterinary counselling body under VCI guidelines
• 5.5-year programme includes a mandatory 6-month rotating clinical internship

PG Programmes

• M.Sc, M.Tech, MBA Agri-Business eligibility: B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture or relevant discipline with 60% marks
• MVSc eligibility: BVSc and AH with 60% marks
• Admission through ICAR AIEEA PG merit rank; ICAR JRF holders are eligible for direct admission with fellowship

AAU Anand Scholarships

Students at AAU Anand are eligible for merit and need-based scholarships through ICAR and state government schemes. Hostel fees are government-regulated at up to INR 5,000 per year for boys and INR 3,000 per year for girls.

ICAR JRF is the most significant scholarship for PG and PhD students and effectively covers the cost of postgraduate education for merit scholars. AAU also provides fee concessions to SC/ST and EWS students as per Gujarat government norms.

AAU Anand’s main campus spans approximately 743 hectares in Anand, Gujarat.
