Jamia Hamdard University offers admission to over 86 UG, PG and Doctoral courses in the field of Engineering, Management, Medical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Sciences, Unani and Arts. The applications for all the courses are available online on the Jamia Hamdard Admission Portal – ums.jamiahamdard.ac.in.

Admission to MBBS at Jamia Hamdard is based on the merit score in NEET UG.
JEE Main qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the B.Tech course.
Admission to BA, BBA, BCA and B.Com is based on the marks in the CUET UG exam and an Interview conducted by the university.
Candidates appearing in NEET UG are eligible for admission to B.Sc/BOT/BPT/BUMS and B.Pharm courses at Jamia Hamdard.
B.Sc Medical (Lateral Entry) and B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) admissions are based on merit and an Interview round.
MD and MS admission is offered through NEET PG except for MD (Unani) for which the candidates have to qualify in AYUSH PGET.
Merit in the qualifying degree followed by an Interview is the nominal criteria to secure admission in M.Tech, MA courses.
For M.Tech (Food Technology) and MA (Human Rights), the university conducts its own Entrance Test.
A valid score in CMAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ XAT/ GPAR or ATMA is required for the MBA course.

Jamia Hamdard offers MBBS, BPT, BOT & B.Sc (Medical) courses on a full-time basis at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR). A valid score in NEET UG is the only criteria to secure admission to these courses. Jamia Hamdard University offers full-time M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Pharm, MA and M.Sc courses in various specializations. Jamia Hamdard Doctoral Selection Criteria

Candidates are selected based on the marks secured in Written Test conducted by the university followed by an Interview.

Key Points

Admission to PhD in Federal Studies is based on the marks in M.Phil (Federal Studies) or other related subjects. NET JRF-qualified candidates are directly eligible for admission.
Industry Sponsored full-time PhD students including that for Pharmaceutical Medicine will have to qualify for NET-JRF/NET-LS in life sciences.
Candidates sponsored by the Industry (employed by the industry) will sit for a special test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
PhD Written Test consists of 25% weightage for the Research Aptitude and the remaining for the field selected. Admission to the M.Phil course is based on the marks obtained in UG, PG degree and Written Test as given below:

Jamia Hamdard University Reservation Policy

Jamia Hamdard University offers 50% seat reservation for Indian Muslims. 50% of seats are filled on the basis of open merit. Reservation details are mentioned below:

One seat in each course is reserved for children of Jamia Hamdard employees.
For UG courses, 10% of seats are reserved for PWDs, Jamia Hamdard students and the students of Hamdard Public School and Rabea Girls School.
Few seats in each self-financing course are filled through Management Quota.
SC/ST students are eligible for a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks and scores on Entrance Test.
4% of reservation is awarded to Distance Learning (DODL) students.
5% of seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped students.
Two seats under Supernumerary Quota are reserved for the candidates of J & K except for MBBS and BUMS courses.

I am a practicing muslim and a religious man so the most liked fact for me was the ease to pray there as it has two masjids inside the campus.
There are many canteens inside the campus.

Dislikes

There was no security on gate, anyone can enter and harm students. The guards at the gate never stops anyone to enter or nor they check id card. There were many people from locality present in the campus without any reason and just to make chaos.
The infrastructure is very very low, no AC in classes, lifts not working, railings of staircase broken, plastic gates of class, plastic walls of class, fans/lights were in weird direction, very dirty scratchy white board, very uncomfortable bench

Admission:

No i didn't applied to other colleges because i wanted to do graduation in ai or ml and in india the fees was very high so i thought to study in abroad. I was planned to take a drop year but then I got to know that jamia hamdard has ai and it is just started. So basically i chosed the course not the college. I didn't made to other colleges because i didn't applied for any Admission process is very simple, just fill the form and your name will come. Yes there are many exams accepted here but no need. If you are pursuing anything other than medical field then keep this university on your last option. And specially for engineering, taking a drop year will be better.

I would say teachers try their best to engage with their students and best thing i felt here was that thry keep encouraging students to participate in different conclaves and function both in college as well as organised my govt bodies to participate
Morever the no girls are higher to boys with respect to the course i am enrolled in.Students are really passionate about their career so yes the crowd is i would say above average

Dislikes

Timings of the class is really questionable. Somedays its from 9 in the morning and sometimes its from 11 to evening, so yes uncertainty of timings.
Teachers cancel class after students reach their classrooms, this gets unethical and wastes a lot of time

Admission:

Honestly i chode this college as i failed to meet the deadlines of fillimg the form in cdntral universities, but again speaking honestly i dont regret my decision taking admissions here, the campus is really big. Morever i was admitted in the college thru merit sustem my score in grad was 7cgpa

It is the only college which provide nursing prgram for boys
A beautiful campus with lots of greenery and many canteens you can see there in campus

Dislikes

This course fees include many charges like transportation training fee which is not disclosed during admission but students have to pay it
It is near sangam vihar which aways very crowded and students may stuck in traffic coming from saket side

I choosed this college because this is the only college which provide nursing for boys. And for admission you must have physics chemistry biology in your 12th and have good neet score then you have the higher chances to get selected

The faculty is experienced and really friendly with doubts and lectures
Infrastructure is amazing. It has a lift and maintains hygiene in the campus all around

Dislikes

The fees i feel is a bit high and they charge for practical files
No extra curricular activities are there for personal development

Admission:

I applied to DY patil mumbai, MGM Mumbai and NYU Noida and HIMSR. I got confirmed admission from DY patil at first and i went there first almost made my decision of doing my MBBS from there but then the accommodation was a problem for me and it made me change my whole decision entirely. Like i said the only thing wrong with DY Patil is the hostel and it made me change my decision from DY patil to HIMSR other than the accommodation, i was hella excited to study in bombay but life has to go on haha. The eligibility is 10+2 with PCB with good score i believe then you appear for NEET UG exam which is an entrance exam for medical and it is of 720 marks and the cut off always goes like high every year and according to the cut off you get your college be it government of private and honestly the only thing that matter is your hospital where you will do from internship from cuz it will give you more patient interaction and more experience and how to deliver all the qualities that a doc has
