Indian Law Institute (ILI), New Delhi offers admission to LL.M., PG Diploma, Ph.D., and online Certificate courses. ILI Delhi Admission 2025 is primarily based on the entrance exam. Admission to LL.M. and Ph.D. programs is done through entrance exams conducted by the institute. PG Diploma admissions are based on merit. Certificate courses are offered via direct online registration.

Candidates seeking admission in LL.M & Ph.D. programs can apply online by visiting the official website of the Indian Law Institute on payment of INR 3000 for Ph.D. and INR 2500 for LL.M as application fee.

  • Selection for LL.M is done through the merit obtained in the National Level entrance exam conducted by ILI, i.e. ILI Common Admission Test (ILICAT).
  • Admission to P.G Diploma programs at ILI is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
  • To get Ph.D. admission at ILI Delhi, candidates must have an LL.M. degree with 55% marks and a UGC NET score. Candidates having JRF (Category I) scores will be selected after an interview. Others are selected based on NET marks and interview.

Indian Law Institute Delhi LLM Admission 2025

ILI Delhi offers a 1-year LLM program at the postgraduate level. Admission to the LL.M. course is based on performance in the All India Admission Test conducted by ILI, followed by centralized counseling.

Interested students can apply online by visiting the official website @ili.ac.in. The application fee is INR 2,500. The entrance exam will be held in Delhi. It will have multiple choice questions, a short writing test, and a viva-voce (interview). The test will check legal knowledge, English, and writing skills.

ILI Delhi All India Admission Test

The Indian Law Institute (ILI), Delhi takes an entrance test for its One-Year LL.M. course. This test is called the ILI Common Admission Test (ILICAT).

Students must apply online on the website @ili.ac.in. The application fee is INR 2,500. After applying, students can download the admit card from the same website.

The test is held in Delhi. The total time is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The paper has three parts:

  • Part 1 (40 marks) – Questions from English and General Knowledge
  • Part 2 (100 marks) – Questions from law subjects like Constitution, Contracts, Torts, and Criminal Law
  • Part 3 (40 marks) – Short writing questions to test legal writing

Students who get good marks will be called for a viva-voce (interview). The interview is for 20 marks. The final result is made out of 200 marks.

Note: ILI will not send emails or messages. Students must check the website for all updates and results.

Indian Law Institute Delhi PG Diploma Admission 2025

ILI Delhi offers PG Diploma courses in 4 specializations. These courses are for students who have completed their graduation in any stream.

To apply, students must fill the form online on the ILI website. The application fee is INR 2,000. Payment can be made using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Admission is based on the marks scored in the last qualifying exam (graduation marks). Students who have done LL.B., CA, CMA, or CS will get 5% extra weightage in marks.

In case two students have the same score, the tie will be broken by:

  • Giving first preference to students with Law, CA, CMA, or CS background
  • If still equal, the older student in age will get priority

Indian Law Institute Delhi Ph.D Admission 2025

Indian Law Institute Delhi offers a Ph.D. in Law. Students who have completed their LL.M. with at least 55% marks can apply. The form can be filled online at ili.ac.in.

The application fee is INR 3,000. Candidates can pay by net banking, debit card, credit card, or wallet.

How is Admission Done?

Admission is based on the NET exam score and interview. Students are placed in three groups:

Category I (JRF holders):

  • You will be selected based on your interview only.

Category II (NET passed, no JRF):

  • 70% marks from NET score
  • 30% marks from interview

Category III (NET passed, no JRF):

  • Same as Category II

The NET score is valid for one year. If a student is called for an interview and does not attend, they will not be considered for admission.

Indian Law Institute New Delhi Scholarships 2025

ILI Delhi gives scholarships to students in the One Year LL.M. program. These are for students who score well or need financial help. The aim is to support and encourage them in their studies.

Merit scholarship: ILI Delhi offers a Merit Scholarship of INR 30,000 per year to the top two students who are admitted to the One Year LL.M. program based on their rank in the All India Admission Test. The scholarship is given in two parts — the first at the time of admission, and the second after the 1st semester result is declared. To receive the second installment, the student must score an ‘A’ Grade or higher and maintain good quality in their research work.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: The institute also provides a Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to support students who are both bright and financially weak. Under this scheme, up to 5% of the students in the One Year LL.M. program may get half of their tuition fee reimbursed. This support is given after reviewing the financial background of the student. The final decision is taken by the Director based on the recommendation of a committee.
