IACR formulates the eligibility criteria for the candidates who wants to take admission in M.Sc. & M.Tech degree course. The Academic Council updates the eligibility criteria in every academic year. The general eligibility criteria is to have Bachelor’s degree under the 10+2+4 pattern or equivalent. Admission to the Ph.D. degree course in any of its 26 disciplines is given on the basis of entrance examination conducted by IARI. The entrance test paper is divided into three parts i.e. General Agriculture (Paper I) and Part II & III (Subject-wise paper). The final result is formulated on the basis of marks obtained in the written test (80%), overall academic score (including marks of Class X & XII) it holds 10% weightage, and the score attained in the personal interview test, it contributes to 10% of marks.

IARI award Junior and Senior Scholarship to its PG and Ph.D. students admitted under the General Open Competition Scheme on the advice of Standing Committee on Scholarships Financial Assistance and Academic Progress.
The scholarship is provided to the applicants on the basis of their admission and performance in the Post Graduate School. The duration of Junior/Senior Scholarship is of two years and three years and under exceptional circumstance, it could be extended by 3 to 6 months respectively. The Junior Scholarship offered to the PG students is of INR 10, 500 per month and the value of Senior Scholarship awarded to the Ph.D. students is INR 13, 125 per month.

This has been premier Institute in Agricultural sciences in India. It is dream of every agricultural graduate to get admission here. I topped my class BSc Agricultural class in HP Agricultural university, College of Agriculture, Solan in 1985 with 3.95 OGPA out of 4.00 and sought admission in this prestigious instittue. I was lucky to get admission here in MSc and after two yeras I joined PhD course, which was completed in 1991.
After completing my graduation, I opted to pursue post graduation from Indian agricultural research institute. I gave the entrance examination to get admission in this college and fortunately qualified the entrance exam with good marks and finally got admission in the college.
my university take post graduation admission the basis of the entrance test which was organised by the college , the entrance exam was objective for 200 marks After that there was counselling for admission where based on the rank the student were got enrolled.

It is a post-graduate degree program. It conducts the separate entrance exam for the admission. It considers the bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50%. After evaluation of the written exam papers, it releases the merit list. I was selected and granted admission.
This is an all-India entrance test for PG Statistics for Agricultural Statistics and Computer. Objective type of examination 200 marks. The ads came out in February and March. Applications are invited at that time, not in online form but in written (written) format. It is also online now. After that, there is counseling for admission, where the student is admitted based on rank.
The admission in M.Sc depends upon the entrance examination and personal interview to enroll in the college. The students who have passed the exam can appear for counseling sessions and submit documents to complete admission.
The admission in M.tech depends upon the entrance examination also 50% of marks in the graduation to enroll in the college. The students have to apply offline and complete the admission process and submit the documents.
