To the places I belong: My Time at AUD

I deeply appreciated the students first approach. The accessibility of not such the physical campus but in terms of offices and faculty. The freedom accorded to students was another high point.
Despite being on wheelchair; AUD ensured I could not only access but whole-heartedly engage with every part whether the academic or the social aspects.
The faculty was not only good; they stood out because they were compassionate, humane and very approachable.

Dislikes

Absolutely Nothing; they provided the most conducive learning environment while supporting my personal needs. AUD shall always be a place I would want to go back to again.

Admission:

For my masters, I had only applied to AUD, I was told the faculty and the university space was supportive. I had secured admission after I qualified the written admission test followed by personal interview by the faculty. II don't remember the cut-offs anymore, but you need to posess a graduation degree to be eligible to apply for the course.

A real Guide to AUD

Likes

The teachers are really good. They are pretty helpful too.
Environment is open and non judgmental in every aspect
Multiple Societies are present for people with different interests

Dislikes

Campus is small overall. That makes it difficult to organize events in there
Canteen is not that good. Food there isnt nice. Can eat once in a while

I applied to DU and Christ University. I did not choose DU as the college i got was not that good in terms of faculty and overall environment and infra. Chirst i didn't choose as it was not an open and non judgmental environment. No. I got accepted everywhere i applied. Admission is through CUET exam. Eligibility is simple 65% in 12th grade and cut offs for CUET cor respect courses depends on the exam itself and the category of the student. Plus they give priority to residents of Delhi. Admission experience was fairly easy.

Likes

Faculty is good and experienced unlike other colleges. Rather than just being a lecturer, they all try to engage with students and help them too. Same goes with the college environment, its not hefty one and it’s mostly chill, making a good environme
Exams are on time. Students can discuss among themselves and choose dates which suits best to their interests
Overall environment in this college is good. Best for people who only wants to study and don’t want to get engaged in politics.

Dislikes

College infrastructure is kinda tricky. They have a new building for the new students but the old building isn’t that good. They have facilities like disabled washrooms but not maintained well.
College placement cell is missing on the ground level and can be only seen in emails.
Library is small and not idle for a large number of students

I applied to Delhi University but due to my hastiness, i missed my seat there as i didn't got any college in first round and thought thats it for me so i applied here and paid fees too but after second round i got choice there too. Admission process is simple, you can enroll through both cuet and board marks and theres no cutoff, almost anyone can get accepted, which is a major con of this university

Faculties and there coordination with students
Compulsory intership for every student for 2 months per year only for vocational courses
Professors focus on practical knowledge then theoretical

Admission:

Because this is the only college which provides b.voc accounting and finance. And for addmission you only have to give general test in cuet exam and don't have to score that much basically less then other college and university wants and best thing there is 75% reserved seats for Delhi students.

"Life at Ambedkar University Delhi: an honest reflection"

Likes

The greenery in campus was the first thing I was impressed with the most.
The quality and experience of faculty is probably the best element of this university. Each and every teacher is a master in his/her course. The way of teaching is very interesting.
The social environment is very collaborative and healthy. Lots of open jamming sessions and other co-curricular activities keeps happening.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is decent but it requires improvement. The number of classrooms should be increased.
The workload is more than it should be due to excessive assignments, presentation, projects along with semester exams
The attendance policy is way too harsh, it is 75% so you only get 6 to 7 leaves

Admission:

I applied for various other colleges such as some colleges in Delhi University, galgotias, KR mangalam etc. some of them I didn't choose due to the distance form my home and I did not get much DU colleges as I wanted to pursue Bba and not many colleges in DU provides Bba program. I did not get any DU college hence. The other colleges had high fees structure. This College just required the marks of general test and my name was in the first list hence I took this college not Waiting for other du lists as it would have been a risk. Initially I didn't had knowledge about cuet and I filled some subjects and took other courses, I generally filled subjects related to maths, physics and science but filled options for the course of Bba which was a huge blunder. I got this college luckily as I had filled Genral test as one of the subjects. The admission process of the college includes - 1. You have to give cuet ug exam and take one subject as general test. The the college will provide admissions through 7 lists so you have many opportunities to get an admission 2. Then they will mail you and tell you the dates for the first fee payment and enrollment. Then you have to teach at the university on the allocated date and then you have to provide all the documents required such as 10th and 12th marksheet, identity proof etc. 3. If you can apply for a fee waiver please do it as it will reduce the fee burden. The rest is simple they will call you for a. Orientation program and then you schedule and classes and id card will be provided to you. The cutoff for the general test was above 95 percentile. You have to have passed your 12th from a recognised board or institution. The overall admission experience was smooth, no difficulty was caused during the process various departments were there for various things and the management was decent

Insight into AUD

Likes

The faculty is very well experienced and highly knowledgeable in their domains.
The curriculum is more application based instead of just cramming the books to pass the exam, developing various new and necessary skills in the students.
Whole campus is air conditioned and every class has a projector for a better learning experience

Dislikes

There is an issue with the cleanliness in the washrooms
The university does not organise a freshers party or a farewell
Regular fests are not organised and no artist is invited to perform at the ones that are organised

Admission:

I applied for BA Psychology in DU and for BBA in AUD and IPU. I got into DU when the 5th list was released but the colleges I could get were off campus and the IPU colleges were all in Noida and Ghaziabad which is a 2 hour commute from my place so I chose AUD as it suited me the best.

An Unexpected College Life

Likes

The college has a lot of greenery and open space
Faculty are mostly phd holders with a vast experience in their field
There are various student running societies apt for the interest.

Dislikes

There are a lot of monkeys thus there isn't enough space to sit and eat
The infrastructure isn't that good with ACs and projectors not working.
The training and placement cell is hard to please.

Admission:

I applied mostly to the girls colleges of DU. But it was my first time giving CUET. Thus, I filled the wrong examination and wasn't offered the honors course by any other college except AUD. The admission process of AUD implied you to have the general test included in your CUET on the basis of which admissions were considered. I will simply prefer taking CUET exam and scoring 75% at least to get in AUD. Also as compared to ther colleges, fests are very minimal here making the college life all about studying.

Likes

That students of the university are very expressive. They never back down form their beliefs.
Teachers are very cooperative with students regarding studies and assignments.

Dislikes

Classroom are a little old and lacking some shine.
The attendance criteria is 75% could have been less.

Admission:

My first was DU but due to getting a off campus in DU with not favourite subject. So got in this college as faculties are better than off campus DU college. And it has a special hons. Program which includes arts subject with maths. So I choose this college.

One of the things that I liked was the faculty. Faculty at AUD is amazing though many have left owing to the administration.
The course structure and the readings incorporated especially for Arts subjects are incredible.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the place is falling apart.

Admission:

Admission process at AUD is quite simple, much like DU. They used to have interviews, but now they don't for majority courses. I went to AUD for their curriculum. In comparison to DU, it's much liberal. Also you do get a lot of flexibility in choosing your courses. The assessments are not just exams like it is the case in DU.

Journey of Ups and Downs - "College Life "

Likes

The first thing i liked in the University is the faculty , they are super good in teaching and also very friendly
The second thing i liked in the university is the conduct of the conferences and seminars regularly which enhances ones personality.
The third thing which i liked in the university is greenery, taking environmental issues the greenery is very important in todays life for health and environment also.

Dislikes

The first thing i disliked in the University is the Management of Administration, they do not cooperate with the students and never allow to use University infrastructure.
The second thing i disliked in the University is that the sports facility is not good, beside studies students are also should be encouraged to play sports
The third thing which i did not like is that the university doesn't provide fund for the socities which causes difficult for the societies to work

Admission:

I applied in Delhi University and got admission in BA Hons Sociology , i did not take that college because i was more inclined to this course because it teachea a lot about other aspects of society and its very interdisciplinary. The admission process of my college is through CUET and the eligibility is that the student should be 12th pass. The cutoff is high for the student who are from outside Delhi and generally low for student from Delhi.
