Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, popularly known as PRSU is a state university founded in 1964. With 29 departments and 156 affiliated colleges, PRSU offers UG, PG, PG Diploma, Diploma, Doctoral, and Post Doctoral programs. Ques. Are SC/ST/OBC students given any relaxation at PRSU?
Ans. Yes, SC/ST/OBC students are awarded relaxations at PRSU during admissions. While preparing the merit-list, a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate shall be given to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC. In addition to relaxation, these students also have seats reserved for them. 12% of seats are reserved for SC, 32% for ST, and 14% for OBC students.

Ques. Can I study two courses simultaneously at PRSU?
Ans. No, students who want to opt for two courses at the same time at PRSU will not be allowed to do so. No student can study as a regular student in one course and as a private student in the other course nor can they appear for the examinations. If any student does so, he/she will be penalised and their admission will be cancelled. However, this provision is an exception to the students studying Diploma in Languages and Certificate Course in Translation.
Ques. What percentage of attendance is necessary for students at PRSU?
Ans. Students at PRSU are required to have a certain percentage of attendance in order to be eligible for their examinations. A student of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University is required to have 75% attendance in classes and 75% attendance each for subjects with both theory and practical. In case of failure of students to meet the minimum attendance eligibility, they won't be allowed to appear for examinations.
Ques. Why are student names cancelled from the list at PRSU?
Ans. The names of students might be cancelled from the list due to their misconduct or some other reason. The list of students at PRSU shall be crossed out due to following reasons:
(i) If the conduct of the students in the School of Studies is not good
(ii) If his/ her progress in studies is not satisfactory
(iii) If the Vice-Chancellor deems it fit to cancel his/ her name.
Ques. Can I change my subject at PRSU?
Ans. Yes, students who wish to change their subject at PRSU. If a student wants to change from one School of Study to another or wishes to change his/her subject, he/she can do so with the permission from both the old and new Schools of Studies. However, students are also required to pay a fee for changing their subjects. A transfer fee of INR 100 and admission fee of INR 60 must be paid.
Ques. How much additional fee should NRIs pay at PRSU?
Ans. NRI (Non-Resident Indian) students who take admission in any of the courses at PRSU will be required to pay an additional fee. Along with the normal fee, NRI students must also pay an additional fee of 1 lakh. The normal fee includes immigration fee, enrolment fee, admission fee, identity card fee, gymnasium fee, endowment fund, applicant aid fund, library fee, etc.

Ans. Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University provides concessions to all its undergraduate female students. As per the government order, PRSU exempts all its female students studying at graduation level from the course tuition fees. Ans. The study hours for PRSU School of Studies normally begins from 10:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. Moreover, the working hours for literature, language, philosophy & yoga at the university is from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In case of special circumstances, this time schedule can be changed with the permission of the Vice Chancellor. Ans. PRSU provides accommodation to its male and female students at its hostels. Currently, the university has two boys hostels, namely, Gandhi Hostel and Azad Hostel and has four separate hostels for girls. All these hostels have a disciplined environment and are well-equipped with all the basic amenities. There's a recreation room, computer centre with internet, gym, and playground at these hostels. Only those students who are from outside of Raipur are eligible for admission to the hostel. There were no problems while taking admission to the college. There are I think some 100 seats available for B.com and all of them get reserved quickly because of its affordability and Big name. You just have to provide your mark sheets of 10th and 12th and your transfer certificate from school, there is no need to take any entrance exam to get admission to the college.

You just need to be 12th pass to get admission.There is no kind of entrance exam required to take admission in the college when I took admission in 2022 the admission process was very simple and there were no complications I just had to bring my 10th and 12th marksheet along with my Tranfer certificate of the school. In bba course, 12 pass are preferred who have more then 45% in 12 board. You can find the application form, fees and dates at front desk of college. They will also tell you the details of course.
