HNLU Raipur is a recognised college!!

Likes

Along with law students can also prepare for competitive exams as our college has all those resources.
Our library is biggest among all the NLU libraries.
The think tank who have made this college are among the most intellectual people because the way our college has been designed it has to be appreciated.

Dislikes

Our college is way far from main town and finding commute at times becomes really difficult.
No good restaurant close to our campus and hostel food is also not great either.

Admission process is through CLAT and since a total of 8 odd thousand seats are there in NLUs as per ranks and all you get thr admission. For general category though seats are evn few as just 2500 or so and hence one has to be inside that to get admission here.

HNLU NOT GREAT NOT BAD.

Likes

The college has a sprawling campus and amazing infrastructure, it is very visible that the college has soend tkme and resources to make it look beautiful, the placement of collega is such that its away from the noise of the city
Another great thing is the access to the library, the college has one of the biggest libraries
The local people are very helpful and nice

Dislikes

The campus is too far from the city making it unreachable in times of emergency
The college admin is getting stricter as well as illogical day by day
There ia no facility for better food near college

I applied to almost all the law colleges in india and except some of the NLU's, i got selected for all of them, the reason why i chose HNLU is because it was the best NLU i could get in mh rank and also it was closer to my home. i did not face rejection from any other college which made my choice easier. To get admission in HNLU yoh have to give CLAT and score good marks in that, once you score minimum marks required for HNLU you have to sit in the councling where you give your list of preference to them.

HNLU: Choose what you want to be

Likes

The university provides single room accomodation for second to fifth year students the importance of which can be realised by a student only after experiencing college life.
The university has a library with a large volume and variety of books. It aids in the preparation of competitive exams as well as for moots and seminars. The library has two adjoining air conditioned reading halls which are open everyday.
The university has an active party and festive culture. The annual fest "Colossus" invites renowned singers and DJ. Students throughut the colleges of India are invited. Additionally, we have a number of festival and events which are celebrated.

Dislikes

The campus is around 20 KMs away from the city and students have to travel long distances for basic necessities and hangouts.
Two university bus ply everyday to city for students but that is subject to a minimum of 15 students in each bus. If the number is less than 15, the buses do not ply and students have to face transportation issue.
The electricity supply is taken from a nearby town and not from Raipur city due to which sometimes there is long power cuts exhausting the batteries of generator.

Admission:

I gave Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) in 2020 but could not crack it. I reappeared in 2021 and got selected for HNLU in vacant seats. The university gives admission on the basis of CLAT examination which is conducted every year by Consortium of NLUs. There is around 50% reservation for domicile of chattisgarh and rest are all India seats. The admission is given on the basis of rank. For all India category, the cut off rank usually goes around 750 and domicile rank fluctuates every year.

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) Review

Admission:

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) is one of the quality institutes of India that provides very good education in terms of LAW and as well as placement. The admission is through CLAT and I have submitted the admission form in the institute I was called for the PI round after I got selected according to my CLAT and academics score. The admission process was smooth and all the admission-related formalities were completed within a short period of time.

Decent, but with a potential to do wonders!

Admission:

Once you give your CLAT paper (happens usually around mid-may), the authorities send you a notification through which you receive your All India Ranks (happens usually around June-end). You can guess your college as per your rank. Avoid the guesswork. Have patience. You will then receive further notification regarding your allotment of college on the basis of your rank. You could either finalize the option and pay some amount or click on the option of updating. If you are really sure about up-gradation, then go for it. As per your rank, your college might get upgraded. It may show the same college in the next list which comes after a week or so. There are such 3 to 5 lists. After the final list, you need to report to the college with notified documents and of course, the fees. They will give you a visit around the campus and hostel rooms. And then you just need to report with your heavy bags to the college allotted.

MIXED FEELINGS

Admission:

I had to write CLAT to get into this National Law University. I chose it because I wanted to become a lawyer. I was a science student but then I wasn't sure if I wanted to become an engineer. But then I saw CLAT as an option. I explored the career of a lawyer. I used to think it's the traditional court profession but understanding later, I got to know about the corporate experience provided by the law firms. As I wanted to get into corporate sector I chose CLAT over JEE examination.

Admission:
