Admission to the college is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a national exam taken by over 50,000 students annually. The general cutoff ranges from 106 to 120. Faculty members are experienced, with a 1:11 faculty-to-student ratio. Classes run five days a week from 8 AM to 2:30 PM. From the 2024-25 session, first-year students will engage in moot court activities. Fees range from Rs 1,50,000 to Rs 2,00,000 per year, totaling about Rs 10 lakhs for five years, covering various facilities.
Mess fees are Rs 12,000 to Rs 14,000 per semester. A refundable deposit of Rs 25,000 is needed. Placement opportunities are promising, with an average salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and the highest at 23 lakhs. The placement rate is 45-55%, with 30-50 students placed annually in top firms. Scholarships and loans are available, especially for ST and SC students. Academic fees are Rs 115,500 per semester for the fourth-year batch, with additional costs for the mess and hostel.
HNLU Raipur, Chhattisgarh's only NLU, ranks 16th among NLUs, offering lower academic fees of Rs 215,000 annually.
