How is NIT Patna, overall?

The study halls and labs are fitted with the latest facilities. Enough facilities like Air/Rail/Road transport to reach Patna from various locations of the country. 1st year students are allotted a single hostel, with 3 students in one room. However, from 2nd year onwards, students are allotted hostels along with seniors. The central library, facilitated with high speed WiFi and AC facilities, houses a precious collection of books. The seniors and faculty both are helpful and approachable.

What are some negatives of NIT Patna?

Students claim that the campus is extremely small. The faculty here is highly educated but not trained up to the mark. The administration and official works are extremely slow. There is very little attention on co-curriculars, although some new clubs have been formed now. Students have reported not getting a hostel room in first year if they have low JEE Main ranks, and in second year, if their CGPA is below a certain threshold.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fee decision taken by government body and also nits are free to vary the fee according to needs. Tuition fee is around 36000 per semester. The complete cost of the education is around 190000. This cost only include college fee and hostel and mesh fee around 80000. If you qualify gate exam then government give you 12400 each month as a stipend.

These days fees of course is increased in my opinion it's not really good for students. Because, stipend is not increased whereas fees is increased Student's cannot save or help their family financially due to that but it's still affordable.

NIT Patna; College of our dreams

Fee is slightly higher compared to other NITs but in masters student get MHRD stipend of Rs 12400 per month. Hostel facility not available for masters students which makes it slightly more costlier to live outside.

Experience at NIT Patna

The annual fee of my course is 75000. There are various scholarship options for the students which are based on merit cum means. The details of scholarship can be obtained from the institute office . My college offer 100% waiver on the tuition fee for SC/ST students as per MHRD guidelines issued by GOI.

The college also provides scholarships to merit students. The college also has a Scholarship Stipend program for SC/ST /OBC. You can also avail education loan facility and the admission department will guide you for the education loan facility. A financial assistance is provided.If you work well with professor,they will provide you some works from which you can earn for your livelihood. If you have sponsorships, then it is also good. Overall you can manage your expenses.

Loan facilities are provided by your bank. NO loan facility provided by college. The scholarships are provided on the basis of your percentage/performance in the semesters. The fee will be waived off.

The Best in the city
