According to me, opting for CSE at 2nd generation IITs like IIT Patna is a better option. IIT Patna was established as a full-fledged IIT in 2008. The classes starts early nearly at 8 am .
The grading system. This college has absolute grading system.

The course fee is 1,00,000 per semester and it depends on the category and family income.If you belong to SC/ST then there is no need to pay the course fee,you just need to pay for hostel, mess, transport, gymkhana,etc which is around 60000.The most economically backward students(whose family income is less than 1lakh per annum)shall get full remission of the tution fee.The most economically backward students (whose family income is between 1lakh and 5lakh per annum) shall get remission of 2/3rd of the tution fee.

For 1st semester, 1,64,138 is the fees for one semester. For rest other semester it is 1, 25,000. Tution fee is 100000 for each semester till fourth year. Hostel fees 5000 every semester.institute resources fees 14000 for first semester and 7500 for rest all semester.

My Experience at IIT PATNA

Curriculum is well designed all the lectures run freely no hectic schedules.

Labs are outdated I think we are wasting time for simple and basic applications, we do want to learn complex things taught in the lectures.

Basic Fee Structure:(Per year) Tuition Fee:2,00,000 Academic Fee:6000 Annual Health Insurance:1388 Gymkhana Fee:6000 Transport Fee: 2400 Hostel Fee: 12,000 In this above fee structure only Mess advance fee is varying in 1st semester it was 19,125 then in 2nd semester 19,525 then 3rd and 4th 19,125 then in 5th 19,625 and in 6th semester 21,625. Mess fee is changing due to the market and the menu we propose in 3rd semester we paid 800 extra for the change in menu. For SC/ST students and students with family income less than 5,00,000 Tuition fee is completely waivered. Other than Tuition fee remaining all fee should be paid by everyone. Our college support and encourage students to apply for different scholarships in them most favored are, 1)NSP (National Scholarship Portal) 2)Merit-cum-means there are many schemes under these scholarships which give 12,000 as stipend and few refund the fees paid to college. I have applied to NSP and I get 12,000 as stipend and they refund any fee I paid to the college.

IIT PATNA from the INSIDE

For each semester IIT Patna is taking 40000 per semester. My total fees for four years in a IIT is 10.5 lakhs, provided that you do not take fee remmission. If your income is between 1-5 lpa then fees will be approx 5 lakhs for 4 years. And if your income is less than 1 lakhs then fees will be approx 3-3.5 lakhs. This also applies if you are sc/st/pwd. If your parent aren't in a government service then you can easily get fee remmission by showing fake documents if your family income is less tha 1 lac iit will remove his tuition fees if its less than 5 lac 2/3 of fees

I am doing my degree in Chemical Engineering, since most of the students dont want to opt this course we are less in number.

There is financial aid that is every student can get an education loan , there will be many banks available inside the college , you should pick one with your interest and apply for the loan. Students get scholarship quite easily.The fee structure is very much affordable.I pay 100000 per year tution fee, hostel and mess fee adds upto 20000 and other miscellaneous fee upto 25000.

The year wise fee i am paying is 2,93,250 rupees,which means per one sem i am paying 1,46,625 rupees. per sem tution fee was 1,00,000rs,Gymkhana fee was 5,000rs,hostel fee 5000rs,institute resource fee 7,500rs,Transport fee was 1,500rs,mess fee was 21,625rs. for SC/ST and EWS category tution fee was 0.scholarships provided by college was NSP and merit cum need.

Things that I disliked are not much but the education system of the college kind of puts a lot of pressure on the student

The annual fees of our college is 250000 for the student of general category which includes the hostel fees as well as the academic fees .the hostel fees is around 80000Rs.For a student who belongs to sc/St category, he or she gets a fee waiver in which the entire hostel fees is free like they don't have to pay the hostel fees and for the people who have their family income less than 500000Rs they get a feel waiver in which they have to pay only 50 percent of the academic fees

The iit patna is national level honourable college which has prestigious achievements.if anybody want to get admission in college students must clear the JEE advanced exam .so the students here will be paying 183000 per semester as it's worthy too as u will provided with so many facilities
