There is 24hrs electricity, running water and single rooms for PhD and msc students. Some hostel has 2 seater rooms. In addition there are a lot of pg s for boys and girls near the campus and also rented appartments and rooms are also available in an affordable rate near the campus. (Tip: look for rooms and pgs in dwara chuk they are cheap around 3.5k - 4k pm).

The hostel facility is great and affordable (2000 maximum). The meals are fresh and delicious. The environmnet is good. Desciplined is maintained and study environment is there. There are activities every weeks to make the bond strong.
in hostel rooms, there is every facility available which is basically needed and must be provided to the students like a fan, table, bed, chair, a well-structured room size good water facility, nice toilet- bathroom and so on. there are 3 times of meals in a week which are served at dinner and the other 4 days have healthy vegetables, paneer, egg, and fish. students have to first take a form from the college which gas to be filled by the students and submit form to the hostel teacher with the asked fees. no, I haven't rented any room in our locality.
The rooms are okay. electricity is available almost 24/7. and water facilities are okay too. We get a loan though. meals are average. You can apply for a hostel during admission itself and hostels are quite affordable.
Hostel are good and well maintained for girls but boys hostels are not of that quality. Mess food is worst i have ever as i am from north india i haven't eat rice that much but here i have to just eat only rice whole day. Hostel is affordable 2700rs per year Mess 1900rs per month Pg around 5000rs for single room including food 3500 for double room
No, ragging does not happen in the Dibrugarh University hostel. Students refrain from making the freshers feel uncomfortable, instead, they are supportive.
The academic pressure is too high for students at the university to engage in any such ragging activities on others. However, there have been instances of students getting debarred due to serious ragging activities in some particular hostels.
If you focus on your studies and stay away from any mishappenings at the college you would be able to stay away from the troublemakers.
Even if you face any problem in the hostel premises, then you can freely consult the prefect or the warden.
