MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

As I m just in 1st year I have little idea ..the highest package is 12lpa and one thing is 100% intership is there ... amul, punjab national bank , federal Bank,seed companies and many more visits for on campus placement avg may be 3-4 if here is no placement in ug ..many of us will do msc or prepare for competitive exam like nabard and Ado .. placement start form 4th year .. overall 70-80% placement ratio

Yes our students get placements directly from our campus. Companies like Amul, Federal Bank, Union bank of India, has come to our campus for direct placement. As per NIRF 2024, 87 students got placed from UG courses and 97 from PG courses. Starting salary from 66,000 to 70,000 in various jobs. My plan is to study masters and for that we have to prepare for JRF.

Different companies are associated with the university for providing placement to the graduate. They also provide support to the Government exams candidates. Minimum package of approx 3 lakh for the freshers

A green and beautiful campus under AAU teaches you to work for real India- rural community

In our 7th semester , we have Experimental learning Programme (ELP) and 8th semester is dedicated to internship under RAWEP programme at various KVK stations located nearby. Quite few students get placed. However, our college is trying it's best to bring companies to our college for campus selection. Many students opt for higher studies or prepare for Govt Jobs after graduation.

One of the best Universities in Assam with good infrastructure and ample placement.

From 7th semester onwards students are eligible for placement in different agricultural companies including the banking sector also. Different banks like PNB, ICICI, SBI, HDFC, etc offers frequent placement options. The average package is around 3.5 lakhs per annum after graduation. But you can opt for a Master's degree for better placement options.

Internships Opportunities:

After 3 years all students have to stay in different regions of Assam to complete their internship and they are paid with sufficient amount of money to manage the works. They have to work with farmers.

There is internship program available for the 4th year Bsc agri student ..and the program is known as rural agriculture work experience program...and during this period university provide a stipend of 15000 per month

There is no proper placement cell , as the existing placement cell don't work activly.

There are two internships in the college, one is RAWEP and the other one is ELP . Each are for 6 months. During RAWEP students are paid approximately 20 thousend rupees per month. But it is rumoured that the RAWEP Time period is reduced to 3 months according to 6th Dean committee.

Campus placement generally doesn't occur.

The Assam Agricultural University has a large chain of KVKs. The internship is done under KVKs. Approximately 15-20 thousand rupees per month is given during the internship. The internship period is for 6 months. But it's rumoured that after the implantation of the new education policy, the internship period is reduced to 3 months.

How to get admitted in ASSAM AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY.

My plans after this course will be cultivating mushrooms in my own field. Agriculture not only teaches us farming but also entrepreneurship skills and how to develop a successful business and mushroom cultivation has great scope in future.
