Candidates seeking admissions to the M.Tech program of Vignan University shall fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must have a valid BE/ B.Tech degree in relevant disciplines with an aggregate of 50% marks.
• Candidates must appear for and qualify any of the GATE/ PGECET/ VUCET entrance exams.
• Foreign/ NRI candidates born on or after 1st July 1996, passed in qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are also eligible for admissions.

Vignan University M.Tech Admission Guidelines

Applicants interested in the M.Tech program of Vignan University will be selected based on the merit and ranking in the GATE or PGCET. The university also conducts its own entrance exam namely VUCET. 

• A common merit list will be prepared and admission will be completed solely on the basis of rank and score in the entrance exam. 
• Students shortlisted will be required to appear for the document verification process. 
• 5% of total seats are reserved for International students.

Vignan University M.Tech Course Details

Vignan University offers M.Tech program in below mentioned specializations:

Courses of Study: The two-year M.Tech program is divided into four semesters. Students have to study the required theory and practical in the 1st year in two semesters whereas students will be required to complete the project work under the guidance of a faculty member in the second year, i.e., in the III & IV semesters.

Attendance: A candidate must maintain 75% attendance in every subject to be eligible for end-semester examinations. Shortage of up to 10% in attendance in any subject may be condoned by the university. A candidate shall get a minimum required attendance of at least 3 theory subjects to get promoted to the next semester.

Evaluation and Examinations: Below are the highlights:

• Each semester comprises 100 marks for theory and 100 marks for practical.
• For the theory exam, 60 marks shall be awarded based on the performance in the end-semester examination, and 40 marks shall be awarded based on the internal evaluation. 
• The internal evaluation will also include 20% of the marks secured in the two mid-term examinations, 15% for the Seminar/ Projects/ Assignments and 5% for attendance.
• For practical exams, 60 marks shall be awarded based on the performance in the end semester examinations, and 40 marks shall be awarded based on the day-to-day performance as Internal Marks.
• Candidates must maintain a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in each semester.
• Project/ Dissertation work will be conducted in 2 phases and each phase will carry a weightage of 24 credits.

Award of M.Tech Degree: Students who complete their course of study for not less than two academic years and complete all the academic requirements shall be eligible for the award of M.Tech degree.
