Vignan University, Guntur offers a full-time B.Tech program in 19 specializations for 4 years. It also offers a B.Tech (Lateral) program in 15 specializations for 3 years. All the specializations of the B.Tech is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The minimum requirement to apply for a B.Tech course is 10+2 with a minimum aggregate as prescribed for all categories. The selection of candidates is based on the merit list released by the varsity based on various entrance examinations such as V-SAT, AP EAMCAT, TS EAMCET, JEE(Mains), JEE(Advanced).
Vignan University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to seek admission to the B.Tech course offered at Vignan University shall have the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned below:
- Must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 7.0 CGPA in Andhra Pradesh.
- Must have scored more than 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in 10+2 in Telangana and the other South Indian States
- For candidates in the North, North East, and other states of India, the minimum eligibility is 50% marks in 10+2 exam.
- Candidates must qualify in the V-SAT/JEE-Main/TS EAMCET/AP EAMCET for B.Tech and VUCET / AP E-CET for B.Tech (Lateral) program.
- For Admission to B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Must have passed the Diploma Degree Examination in relevant subjects with a minimum 60% aggregate marks from a recognized university. A diploma must be awarded by any State Technical Board.

Vignan University B.Tech Admission Guidelines
Admission to the B.Tech program is granted based on the V-SAT entrance examination conducted by the university itself. Candidates who have qualified for AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, or JEE-Mains will be exempted from taking the V-SAT entrance examination.
The admission to the B.Tech (Lateral) program is done through VUCET online test, conducted by Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research or AP E-CET.
How to Apply?
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech or B.Tech (Lateral) programs can apply through online or offline mode.
Online Mode
- Visit the Vignan University official website @vignan.ac.in.
- Click on the button “Apply Online” available on the homepage.
- On the next window, fill in all the details for registration for Admission to the B.Tech program. Once registered, the university will provide you with a user ID and password.
- Sign in using your registered email id, password, and fill in all the details thoroughly and upload the scanned copy of required documents.
- Submit the application form fee through online payment modes such as Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
- Verify all the information and submit the application form. Take a printout of the application form for future references.
Offline Mode
- Visit the Vignan University official website @vignan.ac.in.
- Download the application form and take a printout of it.
- Fill the form with all required personal and academic information.
- Paste a recent passport-size photograph.
- Post the filled application form along with required documents and a Demand Draft in favor of the VFSTR Application Account, payable at Guntur to:

Course Duration
The B.Tech course of Vignan University is designed in an interactive learning mode for a duration of 4-years divided into 8 semesters. While the B.Tech (Lateral) program is for a minimum duration of 3 years divided into 6 semesters.
Prescribed Coursework
- The first four semesters of the B.Tech program constitutes of core courses, practicals, and internal assignments. Each subject is of 2 or 3 credits.
- Starting from the fifth semester, the course structure has various types of elective subjects.
- The 8th semester of the B.Tech program has a Project work and Internship of 15 credits.
