• Candidates with a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade on a point scale
• Candidates who have completed M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade are eligible for admission

• Submit online application at https://researchadmissions.gitam.edu/ by paying a non-refundable registration fee of INR 1,200 through Debit card, Credit card (Master/VISA), Net Banking, or UPI
• Candidates with valid CSIR/UGC-NET, GATE/GPAT, INSPIRE, ICAR, or DBT-JRF scores are exempted from GReAT and eligible for direct interview
• Appear for GITAM Research Admissions Test (GReAT) - a 2-hour written test comprising 50% Research Aptitude/Methodology and 50% specific subject area (maximum 160 marks)
• Qualify in the interview round which assesses competence for proposed research, suitability at the institution, and potential contribution to knowledge generation
• Receive admission offer letter upon successful completion of all rounds
