Dravidian University has been accredited with a B grade from NAAC and is recognized by the UGC. There are 30 academic departments and four centers within the university. It's a public university and was established in the year 1997.

Dravidian University's Directorate of Remote Education was established in 2008 in the Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh to deliver quality distance education. DDE offers B.A., B.Com., BBA, BCA, B. Lib, and B.Sc. courses at the undergraduate level, as well as M.A., MCA, M. Com, M.Sc., MBA, M. Lib, and PG Diploma courses at the graduate level. DUCET 2024
- DUCET (Dravidian University Common Entrance Test) is a national level entrance exam administered annually for admission to Dravidian University for several postgraduate courses such as MA, M.Sc., MLISc, M.COM, MSW, and others.
- Candidates will have 100 minutes to answer 100 objective-type questions on the question paper. There is no negative grading, and each accurate response receives one mark.
- After Qualifying for the exam students can apply to these Institutes.
