What exam is required for MBBS admission at NTRUHS-affiliated colleges?

NEET UG is mandatory for MBBS admission. OC candidates need the 50th percentile, and BC, SC, and ST candidates need the 40th percentile. No other entrance exam is accepted for MBBS admission.

Does NTRUHS conduct its own counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions?

Yes. NTRUHS conducts web-based counselling for the 85% AP state quota MBBS and BDS seats. The 15% All India Quota is managed by MCC at mcc.nic.in. Candidates must register on both portals to maximise their chances.

Can non-AP candidates apply for state quota seats through NTRUHS?

Non-local candidates may compete for 15% of the state quota seats. The remaining 85% are reserved for candidates who hold an AP Local Status Certificate. Non-locals should also apply for the 15% AIQ through MCC at mcc.nic.in.

What is APNCET and who conducts it?

APNCET was the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Common Entrance Test, previously conducted by NTRUHS for B.Sc Nursing admissions. From the academic year 2026-27, APNCET has been discontinued as a standalone exam; B.Sc Nursing admission is now based on NEET UG 2026 scores, with candidates participating in NTRUHS's state counselling for Nursing seats. How are PG medical seats split between AIQ and state quota in Andhra Pradesh?

PG medical seats (MD, MS, PG Diploma, MDS) are split 50-50. The All India Quota (50%) is managed by MCC, and the AP state quota (50%) is managed by NTRUHS. Both routes use NEET PG scores for merit ranking.

Is a management quota available for MBBS at NTRUHS-affiliated colleges?

When is the NEET PG 2026 exam, and what is the application deadline?

NEET PG 2026 is scheduled for August 30, 2026. The application window is open till July 21, 2026. Candidates must register at natboard.edu.in to be eligible for both AIQ and AP state quota PG counselling.

Does NTRUHS have a service bond for government MBBS or MD/MS seats?

Government college seats allotted through AP NEET PG state quota carry a service bond. Leaving before the bond period ends attracts financial penalties. Check current bond terms at drntr.uhsap.in before accepting any government seat.
