Silicon University: Focused Learning for Future Innovators. Beyond teaching.

Likes

Teaching and guiding skills of college and faculty
The strict rules of attendance so that students can't miss regular classes
The placement is very good in this college compared to others

Dislikes

Campus size is so small looks like a school

Admission:

I also applied to KIIT University and CV Raman Global University. I received confirmed admissions from all three. I chose Silicon University because of its smaller class sizes, which offered more personalized attention, and the specific focus of the curriculum on emerging technologies that better aligned with my career goals. Silicon University’s emphasis on practical skill development. I did not receive any rejections. However, if I had not gotten into Silicon university, I would have considered that my exam scores might not have met the specific cutoff for my desired program. Or that perhaps my interview did not show my full potential. The admission process at Silicon University typically involves these steps: Eligibility: Must have passed 10+2 with required marks in relevant subjects (Physics, Mathematics, etc., for engineering). Exams Accepted: JEE Main, OJEE, and sometimes their own entrance test. Preferred Exam: OJEE is often preferred by Odisha students, and JEE Main is also highly considered. Cutoffs: Cutoffs vary significantly by program and year. For popular engineering branches, JEE Main and OJEE cutoffs can be competitive. You would need to check the official Silicon University website for the most current cutoff information.

Shining Silicon

Likes

College provides us with the best faculties and machines.
Surrounding and environment is very nice around the campus
It has a well maintained lawn and ground to play

Dislikes

Faculties don't easily give credits to the students
Grading system and curriculum is quite strict
Hostel mess food is below average and not hygienic

Admission:

I prefer this college because this college is situated in capital city of odisha i.e. Bhubaneswar.It is one of the best college for computer science stream.Many It comes here for hiring students which gives it a high placement opportunities.The admission takes place on basis of jee mains result. As this is asemi government college, the cutoff is quite low.

Silicon university, bhubaneswar review

Likes

Environment is good , academically strict
Good infrastructure, skylab is there for students
Good library very spacious, stationary stores

Dislikes

Small campus and mostly non AC classrooms
Wifi connection is very poor in peak hours
Event organization can be improved a bit

I opted for this college as it was near my house so my travel expenses reduced and silicon university is semi government so there is a relaxation in fees . The academic environment is good here and the faculties are also well qualified

Likes

I like the campus of my college , skylab .
i like the teacher student coordination.
i like the teaching and marking scheme of the college

Dislikes

campus is very small which is really annoying
Here the cultural events are not celebrated like pujas
i dont like the strictness of the girls hostel

Life at Silicon University

Likes

I like the college atmosphere and environment a lot.
The professors are very experienced and knowledgeable
The co-curricular activities are great fun.

Dislikes

The campus is very small as compared to other colleges
The academic rules are very strict and serious.
The college fees must be paid before exam.

Admission:

Silicon is academically very strong and strict in comparison to other colleges. And most importantly the fees was nominal. I applied for kiit but the fee was very high and professors are not well experienced also.

Ya I am like this college because this campus is good for all

Dislikes

I think this college is expensive for me and this college also adding penalty for late dues payment

This college is apply for placement, college environment, compare to other university college price this college price is much better than other college or university price, This college is good for all students and those are career oriented students

Silicon University reveiw

Likes

Some teachers are really good and will help you anytime.
Mess food is comparatively better than other colleges.
Fees are littlebit less compared to other private colleges.

Dislikes

Placements are not upto the mark. Only service based companies visit the campus.Placement percentage was also less this year.
Small campus .It is smaller than my school campus
Some workers behave very worse like the security guards , mess servers etc.

Admission:

I got this this college from Ojee counselling. I was also getting core branches like mechanical civil in top colleges like Vssut burla Outr bhubaneshwar etc.But I wanted Cse so I chose this college. The reason I chose was its fees. You can get admission here by jee mains rank. Eligibility-45% in pcm in class 12th which is very easy. It has also stated its own counselling from 2024

Fees is too high so needs to be lesser it's so.
I am engaged in many activities in the campus life coordination committee
Teachers are very clear to their students

Dislikes

College provides the placement support to the students
Campus of the college is not so good as expected
For personal and professional development college is average

I had applied for our, Bhubaneswar and veer Surendra sai University burla which is in Sambalpur.The exams accepted for the course is jee mains and ojee.Students can do the same course by giving jee mains and ojee.

A complete guide

Likes

After coming to 4th year you will get ample of opportunities to find jobs
The skylab where students can meet and discuss
The interior and the furniture and room provided also the education

Dislikes

My faculty advisor he is just horrible so.
Over stress when you are in 1st and 2nd year
Lots of assignment and labs to cope with

Admission:

I gave my jee and got a rank of above 2 lakh so I goty cen branch which I am happy for. No I didn't apply for any other college and the eligibility criteria has changed because it turned into a university so I am not so sure but earlier above 2.t lakh you would not get cs branches .
