Ques. Is HRIT University LLM recognised by the Bar Council of India?
Ans. Yes, HRIT University’s Faculty of Legal Studies and its LLM programme are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The BCI is the statutory body regulating legal education in India and its approval is mandatory for all LLM programmes. Graduates of a BCI-approved LLM are eligible to enrol as advocates and appear in state judicial service examinations for higher judicial roles.
Ques. Is CLAT PG required for LLM admission at HRIT University?
Ans. No, CLAT PG is not required for LLM admission at HRIT University. Admission is based on HRIT HNAT performance or merit in the qualifying LLB degree. Candidates apply directly through the HRIT University portal at hrituniversity.edu.in without a centralised national entrance exam. Applications are open until September 10, 2026 on a rolling basis.

Students who wish to focus on a specific area of law can apply to a specialisation at the time of admission. All specialisations share the same 2-year duration and total fee of INR 99,800.
Ques. What is the minimum percentage in LLB required for LLM admission at HRIT?
Ans. Candidates must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in LLB or an equivalent law degree from a recognised university. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum is 50%. Candidates appearing in HRIT HNAT are assessed on aptitude test performance alongside their LLB marks. No upper age limit applies for LLM admission as per BCI norms.
Ques. Is hostel accommodation available for LLM students at HRIT University?
Ans. Yes, HRIT University provides hostel accommodation for postgraduate students, including LLM candidates. Hostel charges range from INR 85,000 to INR 1,15,000 per year depending on room type and are payable separately from the course fee. The hostel includes meals and basic facilities.
