AKGEC Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students become eligible from 3rd year to sit in placements. Companies such as Wipro Amazon TCs Infosys come to the college. The highest package is 1.17Cr (off campus) and the average package is 450000inr. Mostly 80% of students are placed in the CSE branch. My plans are to get an on-campus placement in a good company.

Placement are quite excellent as in AKGEC 95% student olgot on campus Placement in 2021. College have tie up with many companies in the field of IT and software development. There are less opportunities for Placement in core companies of ece, me and en as few companies come here for Placement drives

I aimed to become an engineer and I am working on it now The faculty is too good and has a frank nature with the student so that they can easily link their context with the student. And work on the placement process too

From the 6th semester, students start their placement journey and the 4th year is completely devoted to placements only. companies like TCS, Infosys, byju's etc. And the offers are quite flexible from a range of 3.5 lakhs to 15 - 16 lakhs. Around 95 per cent is the placement percentage of ECE branch.

B. Tech. Is a popular course and provides a wide variety of job and research options. Being one of the majorly studied courses B.Tech. also provides various domains that make it even more appealing. One can choose B. Tech. for availing in public, private, government jobs or he/she can do research in later studies in the domain of their interest. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:60 which is quite normal in colleges. The minimum qualification of a faculty member in AKGEC is a Ph.D. A few of the teachers have to complete their research papers so that they can get security in their jobs. The term exams are done quite often the rate being 1 time every 1 and a half months. The quality of the paper is moderate as it includes the questions with every difficulty and every unit in approximately equal proportions.

From 6-7, sem students start to get placements. There are various companies which visit our campus every year some are big giants but maximum are mass recruiters. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, jsw, etc. Average about 4.5lpa-5lpa. Maximum 1.3cr in 2020 at Amazon Dublin(off campus).

The placement at my college is very good. From the 7th semester or the fourth year, students become eligible for campus placement. Around 150+ companies visit every year for campus recruitment including big giants like Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Cloudera, etc. The highest package offered this year was 1.12 crore by Amazon (Dublin) for a software development engineer profile. In branches related to the case, we have 100% placements. But placements for mechanical and civil are not so good in our college.

There are 90- 95 % of students got placed every year. Placements of CSE and IT department is quite good then other departments. Generally, people prefer to take jobs than go for any government exam preparation.

Placements are okay if you see 4lac per annum as the average placement which is 6 lac per annum for tech branches on average. You can do your own hustle and hit offline placement. All big tech firms are recruiters like Amazon, Accenture, HCL, IBM, Infosys, etc. Mostly all the Upper Branch students get placement offers and most of the lower branch students who did amazing in coding or studies also get the offers. There are no exact figures but it's 96-98% placement. Placements are not the problem for this college. But it's up to your side hustle to get placed above average.

There are so many branches in course B.tech. You get branch according to your marks of intermediate and entrance exam rank. The faculty members of the college are very supportive and intelligent. They teach you everything (your syllabus, your attitude, etc.). They help you to change your personality into a professional.
