- Students will examine both historical and contemporary approaches to education policy development in the UK and study an introduction to philosophy in relation to education. Alongside this, they will explore the psychological approaches to learning and the study of childhood (which includes the social construct of childhood and child development).
- Students will be continually building on their learning and also studying the National Curriculum Key Stage 2 and beyond alongside comparative education, equality issues and research methods.
- Students will also have the opportunity to conduct an independent research project, gain practical experience on placement and have a choice of modules to complement your learning including disaffection and counselling in education, children's rights, education and the law, and children's literature.

Academic Requirements:
- Students need to have passed high school certificate examination
- Official transcripts of previous education required
- If student has work experience then credits will be considered towards the course
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: 6.0 minimum with 5.5 in each section
- PTE: 51 minimum with 51 in all sections
- TOEFL IBT: minimum 72 with at least 17 in listening and writing, 20 in speaking and 18 in reading
