Course Curriculum
- The course will be challenging and push you to your limits. You will be exposed to a lot of niche areas of mathematics. It will satisfy your intellectual curiosity and allow you to be able to see the current trends of fields. you can choose to take coursework in theoretical or applied, depending on your preference and credit load.
- Positive: Complete flexibility as to what you want to study and learning the depth of concepts and rigorous problem solving.
- Negative: Can burn out really fast. So many choices of courses can lead to analysis paralysis. Try to avoid this by sticking to what you personally enjoy.
- 7-15 people, but this was during COVID.
- None; there were no Indians wanting to study maths for some reason.

- Tuition fees, 2-year MSc Mathematics (2021): 30,000 GBP per year, charged semester-wise; instalments may differ depending on year and course.
- Accommodation fees, Sherborne University accommodation (2021): approx. 14,000 GBP per year, differs a lot depending on where you stay.

Course Curriculum
- So far the coursework has not been very challenging, as most of it has been to create a base for the upcoming years. The first year for management students at Warwick is known to be calm, whereas the next 2 are full of studies. So far I would say more tests and exams are needed, as after boards we get too much of a gap from academics and due to that, going back is tougher. 3-4 classes a day is normal.
- The earliest class is at 9am and the last is at 6pm. Number of students depends on the type of class. Lectures: 300 students; seminars: 20 Students. About 1100 Indian UG students, with maybe 100 in management.
Fees
- Tuition fees – 32,000 pounds yearly
- Accommodation fees – 9,000 pounds (first year dorm)
- Fees can be paid at any time or in instalments. Advance payment is an option.
- Estimated monthly expenses: 800-900 pounds, largely dependent on lifestyle, as I cannot cook. More expenses of mine are on food. Buses are very cheap, only 2 pounds per trip, whereas Ubers and cabs are very expensive. Regular events such as club nights or sundowners cost 10-20 pounds.
Likes
- I really liked how diverse Warwick is, there are students from all over the world which give students the opportunity to engage with people from different backgrounds and learn about their cultures.
- It’s a massive 720 acres campus, felt like a small student city itself where one can do so much. There’s cafes, restaurants, pubs, sports complex, theatre etc everything within the same campus so it became super easy to socialise and make friends.
- There are 13 different accommodations to choose from, they all have different characteristics for example private washrooms, shared washrooms, small rooms, big rooms etc, basically a place for everyone based on your preferences. They also allocate your accommodate based on your personality by making you fill out a quick personality questionnaire which I think is a nice thing you do. For example, some people prefer party hostels which some prefer quiet ones.
Dislikes
- It’s an expensive place to study, the tuition fees can be quite exorbitant plus the living expenses on campus are quite high. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to afford
- The wifi on campus used to buffer a lot and caused a lot of problems especially when I was in first year. I wish they had better wifi throughout campus
- The coursework and the grading can be quite intense sometimes. Given it’s a highly competitive university, it can be a bit difficult to understand the coursework and score high grades. The professors were quite strict in terms of grading assignments and didn’t give high scores too easily unless it was an exceptional piece of work.
Course Curriculum
- The course was a mix of both practical and theory. It was pretty intense as it was a double honours in Accounting as well as Finance but if studied efficiently then it wasn't that difficult to manage.
- I really liked the course's reputation in the UK and it's quite an attractive course to employers too. I enjoyed doing accounting in high school so I wanted to continue studying that at a good business school. I don't think there's any negative aspect, I thoroughly enjoyed my course at Warwick.
- I also felt that it was quite versatile as they taught a variety of modules ranging from different types of accounting, finance modules, business and corporate law, economics, statistics, sustainability modules etc.
Fees
- The annual tuition changes every year, the website of the university says the updated tuition and accommodation fees every year. When I started my tuition fee per annum was around d 27000 GBP and it did increase a bit every year. You have the option of paying in in one go or you can do it in three instalments, one in September, one in January and one in April.
- Accommodation fees varies on the type of accommodation you choose, there are 13 different accommodations at Warwick and the fee structure differs for every single one of them and it changes every month. What i paid in September 2021 is significantly different than what the current fees is so it's highly advised to check the website for the updated price.
- Monthly expenses depend on the individual really, I used to spend around 150-200 GBP per month on groceries, transport, going out etc. It's very subjective so it used to change every month because in some months I used to go out more than the others so there's no fixed or average figure.

Course Curriculum
- The course was more theoretical, as it did not have any lab exposure. However, several tools and practical games were used to clarify on the topics along with weekly presentations in all modules.
- There used to be 2 to 3 classes a day, Monday to Friday. I really appreciated the presentations and emphasis of self learning as a part of the curriculum.
- On the contrary, the the course should have a decent amount of lab exposure and symposium visits of some sort, which it lacked. Usual timings of the classes varied, depending on the modules. They were 45 mins each, scattered across the day.
- Classes Anywhere from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. On an average, we had 70-120 students in each course. Ours was 80, with a large number of indian students, around 20% of indian students (15-20).
Fees
- My fees was 29,950 GBP in year 2022. The fees are charges yearly, I'm not ware of any breakdown in these, as it is only mentioned as tuition fees. Although, you get the option to pay in quarterly installments.
- I lived off campus during my university. My monthly expenses ranged from 700 to 900 GBP. This includes accommodation 420 GBP, Food and groceries 150-200 GBP, Travel 80-100 GBP and miscellaneous (leisure).
Likes
- It is a very diverse university. So you meet new kinds of people every day, and it is never a trouble to find fellow Indians. - The academics push you mentally. They foster overall growth.
Dislikes
- It is a campus university and not in a big city such as London, which can be a downside to some people.

- I was offered admission in a few other universities but I chose WBS because it is highly ranked in the world. It is in the top 20 business schools and the facilities at WBS are unmatched. The business school has many accreditations and also offers career service with its own career service portal. The university has a very high reputation and the teaching standards are peak. It really challenges me to push my limits and it offers the perfect inoculum for growth be it academic, professional or personal.
- The infrastructure, ambience, diversity, standards and reputation that we feel at this place is really awesome and it makes you want to work hard and bring out the best possible version of you. The challenges are really painstaking but the fruit of it is really worth it and prepares you for a life beyond campus life.
Dislikes
- It is quite expensive to even live a meagre life here. It can be financially challenging and the university is quite far away from major cities like London and Manchester. Getting medical attention in the UK is really challenging and is a big hurdle.
Course Curriculum
My course curriculum is highly modern and updated. Any event that affects the business topic in real time would be incorporated into the discussion workshops by the professors. The course syllabus covers all basic needed knowledge for one to excel in the topic and pushes the students to self research more and incorporate it into the weekly discussion workshops.

The tuition fee for my course MINT during 2023 was 32500 GBP, but the rates might have changed as the universities ranking has gone further above.
Likes
- I decided to come to University of Warwick as it is one of the most reputable universities out there. It is ranked 4th for Economics and that was deal sealer.
- It's diversity and inclusion of people from all cultures. It's helps me grow in my own space and provides enough opportunity to thrive. The classes are divided into smaller cohort which helps in better understanding of important concepts and problems.
Dislikes
- The time-frame for each module is really short and sometimes things feel a bit rushed, but I think it is a general problem for all Universities here. As, we get less time and simply we are not used such fast paced study back in India.
Course Curriculum
All the modules both core and optional are very relevant and provides equal opportunity to avail both research and employment opportunities. The dissertation at the end helps your develop more on all the programming languages that we learn and furthermore throughout the year there are a lot of opportunities to gain research skills like research assistantship offers.

The academics at Warwick exposes you to a career in economics research. There’s a lot of faculty who have experience in microeconomics.
