  • After you secure the offer letter, the embassy will add students going to the same university to one WhatsApp group where you can mingle and ask doubts regarding the university. It is easier to befriend people based on their introduction. It is advisable to reach out to members in the same course or even the same community and look for housing options together. The rent in Bristol is very expensive. So it is suggested that you have other housemates to join you in the house, the rent will be too high. For a single person, one room is about 800 pounds, but if you rent a home together with friends, it will be reduced to 450 or 400. In university groups itself there will be ads for housing. My rent was around 450, including water, wifi, gas, and electricity bills. The house had all facilities like heating systems, a bed and furniture, a washing machine, etc.

  • Accommodation facility rental charges were comparatively very high compared to local availabilities, but worth the money, highly secured, easy access to university amenities, well-maintained lobby, 24/7 access to common communal areas and library, etc.

The Careers Service at the University provides a comprehensive range of resources, including advice on career options, work placements, courses on career planning, and assistance with crafting resumes, applications, and interview skills. Furthermore, the service organizes the New Enterprise Competition, a competition for student startups with a £35,000 prize, and administers the Bristol PLUS Award, the university's employability award, which recognizes students for their extracurricular achievements throughout their degree programme and offers a framework for reflecting on their acquired skills.
