What Students Say?
Likes
- I was attracted by the enormous sports facilities and Stirling is world's 3rd largest University for Sports.
- The Sports Facilty is the major attraction. Atfterall the University is known for Sports. Then The Campus is also very eco friendly and quiet. It is great place for people who like Nature
Dislikes
- I was not Happy with Medical Services. It is difficult if you get sick. NHS is not very much accessable. Also there is aspects of racism among students, which is not addressed properly.
It was an mixed experience. It was Covid during the period, so I was not able to explore many areas of campus life. But I see my Juniors have got a better experience past covid.
Course Curriculum
Yes, there was Industrial exposure. More than the curriculum, the faculty was focused on getting us to have a better and deeper understanding of the Industry.
Exams
I did not appear for any entrance. I was also exempted fro IELTS as my medium of Instrustion for UG was English.. SOP, LOR was submitted. It is important to show your goal orientation and passion towards the course in SOP. LOR should also be in support of your SOP.
Placement
UK universities do not give campus placements. Instead they have placement support. They refer you jobs and give training.
Internship
For my program, internship was mandatory. The faculty will support you to get an Internship
Fees
19000 GBP.
Scholarship
There was a scholarship for Indian studentd GBP 4000 which I received and no seperate application was required for it.
Faculty
Robert Kielty, who was a faculty and placement officer was a great source of support for the students. He was focused on finding the students' long term abition and guiding them towards the goal.
Campus Life
Sports facilities are very Nice. People playing sports have a great opportunity
Hostel
I paid 400 GBP per month. It was a decent facility. University facilities have shared and private options. I have rented a room in private household. You can expect around 500 gbp for accomodation .
