What Students Say?
Dislikes
- There's more focus required for the career aspects. However, one has to be very active and independent otherwise it will be hard to grasp opportunities. This struggle should be made a bit easier by the careers team.
The major three things I liked were Good outreach, experienced faculty and recreational activities. Moreover, the campus environment is also great, full of events and opportunities.
Course Curriculum
I'm studying MSc International Cooperation and Conflict ( humanities), where there's an educational trip included in the course as a module, which is voluntary to choose from. In that module, we were taken to Geneva and arrangements like accommodation, places to visit and visas were arranged by the university. Every year the university plans this for students and improves our experience on the field to network. Many other courses have similar excursions. For my subject, we were taken to local and global events around along with an international trip to Geneva Switzerland to visit credible organization like the UN, WTO and ICRC.
Exams
- Interview or application and online admission process with document submission (no application fees). It is different for each but basically, it's the interview. - 78% in 12th CBSE. I studied PCB and Hindi from Kendriya Vidyalya and 9.30 CGPA in my BA Political Science Honors from MIT World Peace University, Pune. - Requirements: Yes, Stirling University requires SoP which should be 100 per cent tailored for the applied course. CV should be submitted in UK format and publications/ experience in projects will give you a boost. It is crucial for interview preparation if they do but not for anything else.
Placement
There no placement but there's career support guide indeed.
Fees
19,450 pounds.
Faculty
The faculty is very helpful, they may help you to refer but inform them once you start applying. They are approachable but not for getting jobs, just to guide you.
Campus Life
The campus is great, it has a lake, a gym and theatre to relax which mostly campuses don't. It's serene and popular events are less by students union like welcome week, marathon etc.
Hostel
It depends on the costs, the cheapest accommodations are also nice and have free laundry. The expensive ones may vary with security and facility upgrades. The rental cost for accommodation start with 480 pounds to 800 pounds per month ( depending on your preference)
