- I wanted to come to a developed country like UK for witnessing their sport industry. Stirling offered a course which was economical in terms of Tuition fees and the town geographically is beautiful as well.
Overall, in terms of academics and infrastructure, my time at the university was Fabulous and one that I will cherish forever. Stirling is a town which comes lively only because of the number of students who reside there and go to the University. I definitely grew a lot professionally and personally during my time at the University. If the placement system was a tad bit better I think it would have been cherry on the cake especially for International students.
Course Curriculum
It was good, relevant to the modules that we studied, interesting & challenging at times, but not too challenging from someone coming from US and European countries.
Exams
IELTS Score was 7.0 overall. Other than that no special requirement was mentioned for the admission. SOP & LOR was submitted. Since the degree was for sports management, interest in sports and passion towards sport and changing lives through sport was looked after.
Placement
In this aspect we did not have much for my course as it is a lucrative field where opportunities come in with experience.
Internship
I did my Student Internship with a local football club as required for my professional practice module. Unpaid
Fees
13000 Pounds
Scholarship
Yes 2000 pounds which was the general scholarship offered to everyone coming from India.
Faculty
Student to faculty ratio was good, I do not remember the exact number, but it was satisfactory overall. The staff during my time was the best that there could be. The lectures were filled with fun banter about football and healthy discussions about everything happening in sport along with the usual academic stuff.
Campus Life
Excellent in all aspects, I was playing for a recreational football team during the time as well.
Hostel
Accommodation on the University was good, and it was not in Sharing. Safe and sound with a lot of international students residing. It was expensive than living inside the city with the average costs being 700 pounds on campus and 350-400 pounds per month approx in the city.
