Cambridge is not just a dream school. For Indian students with the right profile, it is a real option, and the scholarship money makes it even more real.

Cambridge Judge Business School is offering up to £40,000 (₹43 lakh) across 4 key scholarship programmes for its MBA class starting September 2026. These are not token awards. They are serious funding that can cover a significant chunk of the £80,000 (₹86.4 lakh) tuition fee. The final two application rounds are still open, which means the window has not shut yet.

The Cambridge MBA is a one-year full-time programme run by Cambridge Judge Business School, part of the University of Cambridge. It consistently ranks among the top MBA programmes in the world. The class of 2025 had 217 students from 43 nationalities, with an average work experience of 6 years. For Indian students, this is a globally diverse, career-transforming environment worth every bit of the investment.

Conversion Note: £1 GBP ≈ ₹108 INR (22 April 2026). All INR figures in this article are based on this rate.

What Does the Cambridge MBA Actually Cost?

Before getting into scholarships, here is what you are looking at financially.

  • Tuition fees (September 2026 entry): £80,000 (~₹86.4 lakh)
  • Application fee: £165 (~₹17,820)
  • Living expenses (2026/27): £19,860 (~₹21.4 lakh)
  • Reservation fee (on conditional offer): £7,950 (~₹8.5 lakh) — non-refundable, goes towards tuition

The total cost of studying, including living, comes to roughly £1 lakh (~₹1.08 crore) for the year. That is a big number. But the scholarships can bring it down meaningfully, and the post-MBA numbers are strong too.

According to the 2025 Employment Report from Cambridge Judge:

  • Average base salary post-MBA: £76,138 (~₹82.2 lakh per year)
  • Average package salary: £93,085 (~₹1 crore per year)
  • 85% of graduates received a job offer within 4 months of completing the MBA

Cambridge MBA Distinction Awards — The Automatic One

Beyond the 4 main scholarships, there is one more funding route worth knowing about.

Cambridge MBA Distinction Awards are given to candidates at the time of offer. You do not need to apply separately. If you receive an offer to join the Cambridge MBA, you are automatically considered for this award.

  • Value: Variable (not fixed)
  • Number of awards: Multiple
  • Basis: Exceptional academic ability, strong professional achievement, and clear leadership potential

This is the Admissions Committee's way of recognising standout candidates. It is discretionary, but it is real money that can come your way without any extra effort on your part.
