Reviewing college

I personally think that there are no such negative and positive remarks. One should always be ready for the adventure and take all the situation as challenge. You should always be on toes and gain the experiences one encounter. At last College life at NIT KURUKSHETRA is fun and full of learning. If life offers you a chance of being into NIT KURUKSHETRA one should take it with both their hands.

There are various courses offered in NIT KURUKSHETRA like computer science, Mechanical, Civil, Information Technology, Biotechnology, electrical, Electronics, Production and Industrial engineering,etc. The course curriculum is good with deep technical knowledge and Industrial exposure. The exam of each stream is divided into 3 sets, 2 being Sessionals consisting of 20 marks each and 1End semester exam of 50 marks.

Placement of NIT KURUKSHETRA are exceptional for the branches like CS, IT, ECE, EE (average package ranging from 10-15 lpa) and decent for the branches like Production, Mechanical, Civil, Biotechnology, etc (average package ranging from 5-8 lpa). There are fair amount of opportunities offered to the students. As coming to Internships, College does not provide internship and the students has to do Internships on their own (because its necessary as there are grades for that in 3rd and 4th year).

There are various college fest occur in NIT KURUKSHETRA. Some of them being Confluence, Talent show, Techspardha, Citius, Sports weeks, Utkarsh, Altius,etc. Techspardha and Altius being the technical fests. Citius being Sports festival. Confluence, Utkarsh, Talent Show being Cultural fests. All the events are very popular and even other colleges take parts in each and every programs of each fests.

In my consideration fee structure is nominal and one can manage the fees. To add on to that loans and scholarship are also provided to the exceptional performance in each branches. Fees of one semester being 43500? excluding the hostel mess (which ranges from 3000-4000 per month).

As mentioned earlier students can get loans and scholarship facilities based on their performance in the Exams. The scholarship ranges from 5000-10000?. There is one clause that if a student fails in any of the subject then the loans can not be further granted.

Any engineering stream is incomplete without the labs and workshops. And Nit Kurukshetra is among the best when taking about labs and various workshops. There is every lab required for the course curriculum with proper working machines and instruments. Now considering the sport, there is a sports ground which has sports like Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Athletics, etc. All these sports have their own ground. The sports is maintained by the Sports department which has instructor of each and every sports.

The hostel infrastructure is very good in my opinion. There are almost 14 hostels in total, 11 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls. All the hostels have proper internet facility with hygienic mess. The rooms varies from single sitting to double sitting and also triple sitting. There are separate hostels for the 1st year students, PhD and Mtech students.

Firstly I want to mention that NIT KURUKSHETRA is ragging free campus. There is literally zero ragging. Senior students treats juniors as their younger brothers and sisters. Senior and Alumni helps the junior students in all aspects of college life. This makes Nit kurukshetra a wonderful place to attain knowledge and growth.

Admission into NIT KURUKSHETRA for BTech course is through the exam called JEE Mains. One has to give JEE Mains exam and then through the merit list admission into various streams can be done. The exam consists of multiple choice questions related to the Class 11th and 12th of subject like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Faculties are no doubt extremely knowledgeable and helping. They will guide all the students not only in academic related problems but also in personal issues. NIT KURUKSHETRA has alloted a mentor for the group of 5-6 students so that they can monitor the students and help them towards achieving their goals.
