Review of Pravara Rural Engineering College

The college doesnt deserve a positive remark and a lot of improvements needs to be done. The infrastructure is poor. Events are missing, faculties are not dynamic. The college is not recommended for students.

The curiculam of Pune University is being followed. Most of the topics are old and course does not outline the latest developments in the field of electronics and telecommunication. The course is mostly having basic topics.

The Placements and Job opportunities are poor and hardly any good companies come for placement. So most of the student find jobs in other part of Maharashtra. Specifically Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Aurangabad.

The college do celebrate days. However the days are not as color ful as should be in the college life. The college also has department wise cultural functions and a common cultural festival. No technical fests are held.

The Fee Structure is at par with most of the colleges in Maharashtra. Education for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled tribes are free and half of the fees are payable for other backward class students. General category students are required to pay the whole amount of fees.

No Scholarships are available to general category students. Loan could be availed from any commercial bank since the institite is recognized by All india council of technical education. Loan dependa upon the bank.

There are sports grounds however the sports infrastructure is very poor. The labs are fine. However other activities are not there. Students could enroll for national service scheme. Sports events are held anually.

The hostel infrastucture is very poor. Most of the time there are electricity cuts and also water scarcity are there. The rooms are naked with just one cupboards. These rooms are generally shares between

The aluminis network is developing and the college is trying to gather alumini data through an alumini portal. The alumini are good and other give guest lectures at the college. Since the college is old alumini are present all over the world.

Admission of the course is done via MH CET. Outside Maharashtra students could apply using JEE score. However application for MH CET is a must. 15 percent seats are reserved for outside maharashtra candidates.

The faculty of the college is not as good as expected. Most of the graduates are retained as faculty is the college. Specially the local students of Loni Village. This is a place where the college could improve.
