Remarks

The college is good in terms of faculties and the education that is provided here and the placements are also very good the things that are bad are the infrastructure is not very good. The transportation facilities are the best I guess in Chennai as the bus stand and railway stations are literally behind the college only so that's a very good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Well the course curriculum is well rounded off focusing on the basics of the engineering aspects in the first semester and from the second second semester onwards we were introduced to our specified departments and the subjects we were to be sealed. It was good and well balanced as we were made to focus on basics first and then to higher things. The good thing about the curriculum was that it not focused on the thoeories by also focussed on hands on experience like industrial visit and implant training. So that the students passing out would be well equiped in both theoretical and hands on experience. Our college exam structure for our batch was though a little tricky and unstable because we were introduced to a new regulation of regulation 2015 which introduced us to CBCS , which allowed us to select the subjects we wanted to study and the staffs also. There were two assesments and a semester exam for each semester.

Placement Experience

5

The placements and job opportunities are very good I mean it's the best in my opinion most of the top companies of both IT and industrial sector come for campus interviews. Some big names like uber , caterpillar, MRF tyres , Apollo tyres etc came for hiring students. The college does provide internships but the number of students getting an internship is quite low. As far as for our department only apollo tyres came for an internship and no stipend was given instead we were told that I f we do well in the internship we would bee offered a job and only one student got picked for the internship and after the completion of internship they offered her a job.

College Events

3.5

There are many events held at our college both inter- college and intra- college. The odd semester handles all the intra college events like Sivaranjani , mr and mrs persofest.etc. In the even semester is when all the department's have their respectable symposiums like Elastoplaz -rubber and plastics department, Prayatna - computer technology, Pistoboltz - production technology, Automeet - automobile engineering, Intecho - E&I department, Samita - IT, And the college main event the MITAFEST.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees structure is quite feasible and affordable. The college fees that has to be paid during the time of admission is around 20 thousand rupees and after that for each semester all the students have to pay 8000 per semester and for SC and ST students the fees is 4000.

Fees and Financial Aid

The post matric scholarship that is offered by the government is good and the college has also it's own scholarship program which gives around 45000 rupees which is funded by the aluminis. Loans are not offered by our college uiva

Campus Life

1.5

The labs are well equiped and good all the devices in the lab are in good condition and the labs are also well maintained. The sports activitiesvities are not so good there is no specified coach for different sports. The sports which are available are volleyball, cricket , badminton , ball badminton, basketball

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are very good. The rooms are small but good. The bathrooms and toilets are kept cleaned and regularly maintained. The hostel has WiFi support also and LAN hubs all over buildings. The hostel has its own gym facilities. Both veg and non veg foods are provided. The food is very hygienic and very tasty also. Water supply is 24 hrs when I was there. There is a separate hostel for NRIs. The fees is quite affordable considering the quality of food and rooms provided.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is the best thing about this College. The senior junior relationship is very good and they help us a lot. The alumni are quite helpful that they pay the fees for student who have very poor economical background.

Admission

After I got my 12th results , I applied for counseling via form which was given by Anna University , I filled it and attached all the essential documents that they asked and sent it to Anna University ceg campus through post. After a few days I got a call letter from Anna University about counseling informing me about my alloted date and session for counselling. In the letter it was stated that the students had to arrive 2 hours before the reporting time. So I reached earlier to Anna University and there was a huge line standing to get the token number for my session. It took a while to get the token. After that my session came and an official came to escort all the students of the same session to a room where we were given instructions about how to select a college and what documents that are required for verification. Then they send us to an another room where there was a screen which was displaying all the seats available in different colleges. So I had to wait for a little time for my number to come and my number was called and I went in where there was a huge hall filled with computers with an operator and each desk. I went in and sat before an operator desk and I was asked the college code and after it I was asked about which course I wanted to take in that college. So the operator check the status and booked the seat at that college. Then I was again made to wait in an another room and after that my all original documents were verified. After that I was called upon and some University officials gave me the admission letter stating the college name and the date of admission. Then various medical tests were taken and that was it. Then I went to the college on the specified date on the admission letter and confirmed the admission and provided all the documents and I was asked to pay the college and extra fees for books and shoes and that was it.

Faculty

4.5

Teh faculties are well qualified and most of them are from IITs and all of them are experienced and not only focus on the given sylabus but also make the students focus on the current trends on the industries which helps the students in coping up with the placements. All the faculties are well conected to various industries and are very helpful to students. Teh student to teacher is good in all other departments but in our department the student to teacher ratio is not so good.
