Dislikes
- The campus is not very huge but the shops and main road around it makes up for this.
Course Curriculum Overview
I believe, the curriculum is industry-ready. It is updated regularly(yearly). We are currently at V3 version of the curriculum, which i believe covers all the required industry-grade education. Apart from that, we have technical sessions/ workshops/ hackathons happening every now and then, infact, daily to be precise. From talks with my seniors, i got to know that several courses from their later sems had been pre-poned to our current sem, to give us the basic understanding of those early on. CAT is the major exam which includes all courses, Unit test is a short exam which includes just T-courses. The materials given for these exams are easy to understand and difficulty level depends on our preparation level. If we spend atleast one week to prepare before CAT, then I believe, we can easily score above 90%.
Placement Experience
From the official poster i referred, 98.5% placement has been recorded for this year of 2026. The highest Package is around 50LPA The Average package is 5.5-10LPA The Lowest is 3-4LPA The top recruiters include Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Autodesk, Deloitte,Zoho etc... Students become eligible for campus palcments from 3rd year onwards.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees paid for a single year : 1.5L-2L All government scholarships applicable, Even reinforced and asked to apply frequently by the college Apart from book and tuition fees, an additional fee of CDC (for career skill development) is required to be paid
Campus Life
Our CSE dept's flagship event is Kratos. Similarly each dept (even lang) has its own flagship event. We have an amazing club called Campus life which orgaines fest/ non-tech events/ culturals/ Concerts etc.. every now and then. Every month will witness atleast 1-2 big Events and 4-5 minor fests. The freshers cultural is called Swagat and it was one of the finest cultural i had ever been to. The library offers a varied range of books and has got every necessary reference book we need. Have Borrowed a few some times. But they do charge Rs.2 each day you go overdue. Apart from that, we boast a vast range of clubs, from Toastmasters to technical IET to Vox-literaria to Lions to YRC...around 10-13 clubs from various fields.
Admission
Chose EEC over others primarily beacuse of one reason. Safety. Was concerned about travelling long distances in lone routes. Since EEC was at the centre of the city, it avoided this hassle. I wanted an Autonomous-Anna university college which was both lineant and disciplined, which had very good placements and extra-curriculars. Hence, this seemed like the best option.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Faculties are absolutely approachable and friendly. I got really quick responses from them in times of urgency and exams. Each class is assigned two mentors and a class cordinator. They notify us the competitions available, courses to be registered, workshops to be attended etc. So far, I have had many good faculties. One notable among them for me is our Web-esstentials and current Class-CO Mrs.Jennifer Prince. I had presented an idea in a competition in my very first-year but it didnt get through to the win. And I shelved the idea afterwards to never look at it again. One day, i get a call from IPR cell saying my idea is shortlisted. Turns out, she had talked to them about my idea and got me an opportunity to present it there. Really grateful to her for that!!!! Second, is our DPCO teacher Mr. Caleb, one of the finest in terms of teaching the dreadful subject and made us fall in love with it; Third is our maths mam and past class-CO Mrs.Sakthi Sudha, She was very supportive, motivating and taught the subject beautifully.; The sem exams are fine. i would rate it as medium toughness. If we are attentive in the class and revise all the materials given by the teacher, then we are sure to get above 80%.
Night Life
Since, Im a day-scholar i dont know much about Night-life. But from the time, i had once stayed for a 24-hours hackathon, i remember it to be quite vibrant. Also, have heard from some of my friends in hostel, that its both safe and fun at night.
