Sharing my experience as a student of IIBS Bangalore

Industry relevant, corporate oriented, comprehensive curriculum with practical exposure; examinations are moderately challenging and well structured but chances of failure is low with an average preparation.

The institute offers diverse internship opportunities with top recruiters like Amazon, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, etc. Roles typically involve Marketing executive, financial analyst, HR recruiter, etc with average monthly stipends ranging from ?8,000-?16,000.

Placements are good and students are eligible for placements from third semesters with average package of ?5-?6 lakhs per annum with majority getting placed in good companies with quite decent package and job roles.

The yearly fee structure for the PGDM/MBA program is approximately ?4.50-?5 lakhs a year making the total go around ?9-?10 lakhs for two years; the fee includes tuition fees, registration fees, admission fees, examination, library and lab charges, development and other academic amenities. A refundable caution money is charged separately at the time of admission; hostel money is additional and vary accordingly based on room types and facilities chosen. The fee structure may slightly increase for the upcoming batches based on institutional revisions. Students from reservation categories like SC/ST/OBC might avail for government scholarships as per Karnataka state norms. The institution also offers merit based scholarships approximately ranging from ?25,000 to ?1,00,000 depending on academic performance, entrance examination scores and early admission criterias. Overall the complete course fee remains competitive compared to other private management institutions in Bangalore, with minor yearly revisions if applicable.

Campus life at IIBS Bangalore offers a mixture of rigorous academic life as well as cultural and active social engagement. Events like Surface and Corporate Connect provide platforms to showcase talent and build networking.

The hostel facilities provided by the institute is quite decent with quite a decent variety of food combinations set by the hostel food committee members. The institute offers separate well furnished hostels for boys and girls with twin or single occupancy rooms featuring basic amenities.

Chose IIBS over GIBS, IBS and Christ for its high claim for strong placements with good job offers and packages from reputed companies. The college also has affordable fee structure and admission procedure.

Faculty to student ratio is approximately around 1:15-1:20 ensuring personal attention. Professors are supportive, encouraging and approachable with interactive learning sessions and activities. Some of the senior faculty members have corporate experiences and strong mentorship skills and are thorough with their way of guidance. Course structure is trimester or semester based with specialization options in second year. Examinations include internal assessments, assignments, presentations, mid term examinations and end semester examinations. Marking scheme is a mix of internal (40-50%) and external (50-60%) evaluation. Exams are moderate in difficulty with a lower chance of failure with good preparation. Curriculum is industry relevant and placement oriented.

The admission process includes a written test of (IIBSAT), GD and Personal Interview rounds. The written test features 100 MCQs covering Verbal, Numerical and Reasoning Ability. The GD topics often focuses on current affairs while PI focuses on academic backgrounds, strengths and career goals and ambitions.

Noghtlife at IIBS is focused on campus community and its surroundings; the library and academic areas typically operate until 18:30 in the evening and the histel in timings are strictly taken care by the security personnels with 24/7 security and surveillance.
