What Students Say

Likes

It has alot of good socities and clubs in the college.
There are alot of events that take place in the college which helps in overall development.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is poor and some taps in hostels dont work.
The classes and academic is little hectic.
The city does not have alot of places to visit and expolore.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curiculum has some relevant subjects and some are very detailed overall it is good, especially the college emphaises on the core braches and hence it has hectic schedule, classes are taken 6 days a week off on Sunday.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 1375000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 1,37,500 and hostel fees is 30,000 and mess fees is around 36,000 per year. Per semester registration fees is 200. One can avail scholarship provided by the UP government which is around 70000 per year.

Campus Life

The social aspect of college is nice, several good socities and clubs are present here. A good library also a digital library. Alot of events like TechSrijan, Abhyudaya, Electra,etc. Overall development is truly possible when one complete utilize these facilities.

Hostel Facilities

The infrastructure of hostel is average and washrooms are average some taps dont work overall the hostel life is good because of the students. The application is submitted to the DSA inorder to get a hostel room.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

I was able to secure seats in several colleges but the nirf ranking and the branch of electrical engineering was better in MMMUT hence I took my admission here. Through college's individual counselling which has 5 online and spot offline rounds.

Faculty

The faculty is average and exams are easy but the checking of papers dont take place on the basis of the knowledge you have but the ability to fill up the pages. There are two types of papers major and one minor in a given sem.

Night Life

The campus has an average nighlife, you dont have alot of things to go in Gorakhpur some are Nauka Vihar, Zoo, Gorakhnath, Orion and City Mall,etc. The timings in first year is limited to 7pm while in second year it is around 10 pm.

Placement Experience:

Student generally become aligible for campus drives from the 7th semester or 5th semester. To sit for the best companies you usually need no active backlogs and a minimum CGPA of 7.0 or above.Some top-tier companies strictly ask for 80% throughout.SRMU sees a mix of MASS RECRUITERS AND CORE companies like AMAZON, IBM, TCS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, ADANI GROUP, HCL AND COGNIZANT are regulars. We also see companies like SAP AND TATA STEEL for specific roles. Here AVARAGE PACKAGE is around 4.5 LPA TO 5 LPA and HIGHEST PACKAGE 30 LPA. Percentage for getting placement is 80% to 90%.My plans after getting degree is to secure a placment in a CMM level 5 company like TCS or ACCENTURE through a company drive to get that initial brand name on my resume.

UNBIASED REVIEW OF AK the Freshie

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since i am pursuing civil engineering, the curriculum covers all core civil engineering subjects such as. • Engineering Mathematics, strength of materials, structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, Transportation engineering , environmental engineering.. The course prepares us for higher education and government examination but real world exposure is limited like site visits and practical trainings are few and not well planned. Mot students aim for cracking government services.. Areas of improvement could be syllabus to include latest construction practice, to increase industry oriented projects, more industrial visits, modernizing the lab and newer teaching methods.. The exams are conducted twice each semester one mid semester and one end semester, exam levels are Moderate and questions are generally theory based, students who follow class notes and previous year question paper and easily clear the examinations...

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is average as that of Tier - 3 college. The students of 7th semester are eligible to take place in placement. There were many companies - JP tyres, TCS , JSW steel ,L and T , Mahindra tech . There was 1000 offers for 900 students including the mass recruiters. Highest pakage on campus was 12 lpa Average pakage is 5 Lpa 80% students are placed. My future plans are taking a job after degree.

The curriculum is good. Their are alot of good elective subjects in the college. The frequency of the classes is high, 6 days a week and 9am to 5pm is timings but periods vary day to day. Areas of improvement could be giving lesser assignments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is a specific dress code applicable for all. The campus is not very big though.the fields where college is lacking is Smart classes.The college stictly considers Aktu guidelines and thus regular zonals are conducted as per the Aktu curriculum.

I applied to aktu councelling and i was getting all of those colleges and all the subjects, i chose this college because it is not affiliated to AKTU and also MMMUT is a state government college with a well established civil engineering department... Yes i did get rejection from IITs and NITs because of my low jee mains rank In order to get Admission in our college one has to fill the admission form which are generally released after the jee mains examination, one needs to have a jee mains rank of the current year to get admission in the college, generally one needs to have a rank of 60000 to get Admission in this college in CSE branch and around 1.2 lakh for civil engineering branch......Read More

HONEST

I applied for Aktu colleges whose councelling was too late and I also applied for the Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology. In which I got selected in the second round for the branch i filled as a top priority. To take admission you must do a separate councelling of MMMUT . Registration fees for this councelling is 2500 . The admission takes place on the basis of JEE MAINS rank . The overall admission process was good ....Read More
