What Students Say
Likes
- The campus environment is peaceful and clean, which makes it comfortable for studying. The classrooms and labs are well maintained and provide a good learning atmosphere.
- Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly. They help students with doubts and guide nicely during practicals and assignments.
- The college conducts seminars, workshops and technical events regularly. These activities help in improving practical knowledge and confidence.
Dislikes
- Placements for core branches like Mechanical and Electrical are average. More companies should visit the campus to provide better opportunities.
- Some lab machines and equipment are old and need upgrades to improve the practical learning experience.
- The college is located far from the main city, so travelling becomes difficult and time-consuming for many students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of my B.Tech program is aligned with GTU standards and covers all the important subjects needed for core engineering. Most subjects are relevant to industry requirements and help in clearing concepts. Lab work and practical subjects are useful for real applications. Exams happen twice a semester and the difficulty is moderate if you study regularly. Some subjects could include more practical exposure and updated tools, but overall the curriculum is balanced and good for learning.
Internships Opportunities
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Every year companies like TCS, Atul Ltd, L&T, Alembic, Royal Technocast and some local industries visit the campus. The highest package goes around 4–5 LPA and the average package is around 2–2.5 LPA for core branches. Around 40–50% students get placed depending on the branch. I plan to gain experience through internships and apply for better opportunities after completing my degree.
Placement Experience
Campus placements usually start from the 7th semester. Companies like TatvaSoft, Etech, Atul, and local industries visit the campus. The average package is around 2.5–3 LPA and the highest goes up to 4–5 LPA depending on the branch. Around 40–50% students get placed, mainly from CS/IT, while core branches have limited opportunities. After my degree, I plan to focus on gaining skills and applying for off-campus opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am admitted through the TFWS quota so my yearly tuition fee is ?0. I only pay around ?3000–?4000 every year for registration, exam forms and other compulsory charges. For general students, the annual fee is around ?70,000. The fee usually increases slightly every few years as per GTU norms. Scholarships like MYSY, EWS and merit-based schemes are also available for eligible students. Overall, the fee structure is affordable compared to other private engineering colleges.
Campus Life
Placements are offered from the 7th semester in our college. Some local companies and mid-level industries visit the campus every year. The average package for core branches stays around 2–3 LPA and the highest package can go up to 4–5 LPA depending on the company. Around 40–50% of eligible students get placed, mostly in technical support, trainee engineer, or quality roles. For students who want better opportunities, off-campus options are also available. After completing my degree, I plan to focus on skill development and explore both campus and off-campus opportunities.
Admission
I chose SN Patel Institute because it offers decent teaching quality and a good environment within my rank range in ACPC. I had also considered nearby colleges, but this one was more suitable due to its disciplined campus and better faculty support. I got admission through ACPC counseling under the TFWS quota, so the overall fee became very affordable for me. The admission process was smooth and merit-based, and I received the allotment based on my GUJCET rank. The cutoffs were reasonable and the college is preferred by many students from
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is good and most teachers are helpful and approachable. Many faculties explain concepts clearly and support students during labs and doubt sessions. The course structure follows GTU guidelines and covers all core subjects in a proper sequence. Exams include internal tests, mid-sem and final GTU exams. The difficulty level is moderate and students can pass easily with regular study. The marking scheme is fair and attendance rules are also manageable. Overall, the faculty support and exam system are satisfactory.
Night Life
The nightlife around our college is quite peaceful as the area is located away from the main city. Most facilities like the library, gym and cafeteria close by evening. Students mostly hang out near small food stalls outside the campus or gather at common areas inside the hostel before closing time. There are no late-night activities around the college, but the locality is safe to roam till 9 PM. Overall, it’s a calm environment which helps maintain discipline and focus on studies.
