Course Curriculum Overview

4

As an ECE student I have plenty of options to chose in the future. I can either chose the core side or the software side. Personally I'm interested to attain a job in the software side but I'm also down for the core related jobs too. I also have a goal to complete my masters in abroad in the software field. The reason why I chose this particular branch is that I can either go to hardware side or the software side. My curriculum is well prepared for the real-world applications in all the ways.

Internships Opportunities

4

I have completed an internship in ExcelR company which was offered and suggested by our head of the department. The topic that I chose was embedded systems which is related to hardware side. As of now I haven't received any stipend as it is a non- stipend intenrship.

Placement Experience

4

There is a medium range of placements in our campus as for now. From 6th semester the students are eligible for the campus placements. The companies that have visited our college are amazon, infosys, etc. The highest package is of 30 lakhs per annum and the average package is of 10 lakhs per annum. The package depends only upon our skills. On an average around 80% of the students have got placements. As of now I want to pursue my masters in abroad. But if I get a job in the campus placements I'll work for 3 to 4 years and I'll pursue my masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of my college is 70000/- per annum excluding the building fund. The college is charging the building fund of 10000/- per annum along with the course fees. The fee structure for the other branches is same as of my branch. The admission fees is of 5000/-. The lab fees, the development fees are all included in the tuition fees itself.

Campus Life

4

Umm...personally I like my college for the bond that I've formed between my friends. I'm able to enjoy my campus life only because of my friends. Yes, I've also faced some ups and downs with some people but I came to know who I am and what I got to know thier true selfs. I've started to learn from my mistakes. I'm somehow able to get out of my traumas because of the quality time that I'm able to spend with my friends. Coming to festivals and annuals, we celebrate annual function every year. The annaul day is celebrated very grandly! We have a wide range of books and journals available in the library. We have have a wide range of books written and published by various authors for every subject. The sports and extracurricular activites happen to take place most of the time. We enjoy to spend our time in the sports time. We have different social groups and we also have clubs depending on our branch.

Admission

The reason why I chose this particular college is, it is one of the top colleges in my city. As of me I'm an extreme introvert, so I can't mingle between people easily. So joining in a women's college made me less tensed. I have applied to other colleges like Gayatri vidya parishad college of engineering (autonomous), Raghu college, MVGR college and many more colleges in my city. I've got confirmed in only GVPCEW. Yes, i was rejected from the other colleges that I've applied and the reason was because of my eamcet rank. I wasn't able to get a good rank in my eamcet exam so i got rejected by the other colleges. The admission process is simple, we have to submit the required documents. There is no particular eligibilty for our college. AP EAMCET and other state EAMCET exams are the exams accepted for our course. The most preferred exam by the students is EAMCET.

Faculty

5

Some faculty are friendly and well educated. They intend to show some interest to clear our doubts, whereas some faculty members are well educated but they are not teaching the subject properly. For example, I am an ECE student. some faculty members that I've faced for my core subjects were never upto their point. Personally I like jalaja mam. She taught us 2 core subjects. The reason why I like her personally is she is very jovial with the students, she is very friendly as well as caring. She also guides us in our career. I also like her teaching style. We have total 8 semesters to clear our B.Tech. Yeah, most of the students tend to clear all the subjects in the 1st attempt itself.

Night Life

5

Coming to my college surroundings, it is a bit creepy but it is a best place to roam around with friends. The night life is basically legit! Yes, we have gym facility but to be honest there is no proper equipment. The cafeteria is the only place where we tend to relax most of the time. The hostel is good but is facing problems with water facility. The campus in timings vary according to juniors and seniors. For 3rd and 4th years the timings are 8:40am and coming to the 1st and 2nd years the timings are 9:30. the timings are flexible sometimes depending upon the timetable. As my college is situated in visakhapatnam, there are plenty of hangout places near my college or even in the city too. Yes, the locality is absolutely safe to roam around at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

Placement Experience:

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.
