Reality of rgukt

I choose this course because it covers both basic and advanced topics from start. The curriculum gives good foundation but lack real-world practice and projects. Some subjects like coding need update to new languages. Exams happen twice mid and one final, some are bit hard specially maths and programming. Teaching methods should include more practical examples for better understanding

I am studying in RGUKT Srikakulam. College is good for education, teachers are very supportive and always help us. Admission is based on 10th marks, only high scorers get seat. College fee is 10,000 and hostel fee is 28,000. We get scholarship like Jagananna Vidya Deevena. But hostel and campus facilities are not so good. Rooms are not clean and maintenance also poor.

Our college annual fest is called “Srijan” held in March, and technical fest “TechnoVista” in December. Library has good books but few journals and old editions. Classrooms have basic tech like projectors but need more smart tools. Sports like cricket and volleyball available. Few student clubs are active and they help in building skills and fun campus life

In hostel room, we get basic bed, study table, and fan but no AC. Meals are simple, mostly rice, dal, and curry; quality is okay but sometimes food is less tasty. Hostel registration is easy but fee ?28,000 is bit high. I didn’t rent outside, but nearby locality is safe and many students prefer PG for more comfort.

I applied to few colleges but got admission only in RGUKT Srikakulam. I choose this college because admission is fully based on 10th marks and it has good reputation. I got rejected in others because my 10th score was not enough. Admission process here is simple, only top scorers in 10th get chance. No separate exam needed. Overall, admission was easy but very competitive.

Faculty to student ratio is average, teachers handle big classes but still they are helpful. I like Ramesh sir and Bhanu madam, they teach very well and clear doubts. Some teachers go fast and don’t explain clearly. Exams are bit hard, mostly in coding. Course is good but some topics are old, need updates.

Gym and cafeteria close by 8 pm, library closes at 6 pm. Hostel timings are strict, no outside entry after 9 pm. Campus is peaceful and clean. Popular hangout spots are near the canteen and park inside campus. Outside, few cafes and shops are nearby. Locality is mostly safe, but it’s better not to roam alone at night.
