Remarks
Samrat Ashok Technological Institute is a college which comprises of positive as well as negative remarks. The major positive remark is that it is a really old college that has a good image in people. Major negative remark is that infrastructure needs to be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is not good as the college life really sucks as the course curriculum does not gets updated regularly so we are forced to study outdated syllabus. Practical subjects are not given much preference which should be given.
Placement Experience
Placements are not enough for us. Very few companies visit the college and they pick very few students which is not enough after you have qualified the JEE MAINS exam and getting a government college.
College Events
There are various events celebrated in the college such as techfest(SATYARTH-I), annual functions, state level cricket tournament between various colleges, Vishwakarma Jayanti and many other exciting events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is not good the fees is too much for a government college. There are various government colleges in Madhya Pradesh but this college has the most fees among all. The fees here is approx 60,000 per year for core branches but it rises to 75,000 per year for non core branches.
Fees and Financial Aid
No kind of scholarship is provided for the general caste people in the college. Even if you go to the academics section or account section for the scholarship they just say a big "NO" to you. Only SC-ST people get scholarship that is provided by the government but nothing is provided by the college which is a great drawback of the college.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are sufficient in this college. Labs have good facilities and everything is fine but no care is taken of the machines kept and regular maintenance is not done which leads to breakdown of machines and equipments. Sports are not in sufficient amount.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have already completed my 2 years of college in Hostel. Hostel facilities are good as water, electricity, Wi-fi, food, water,etc. is provided in the hostel along with a average quality food. But the hostel premises are pretty old so they are needed to be renovated.
Alumni/Alumna
Ragging is officially banned but still a large amount of ragging is still done. Has a great alumni network. For eg. Nobel prize winner Kailash satyarthi. Is a government undertaken autonomous college.
Admission
I gave Jee mains exam in 2017 for the first time .Then I had to fill registration form for online off campus councelling conducted by MPDTE. Then list was released for 1st round and this college was alloted to me and I came to college and registered myself along with all of my documents.
Faculty
Faculty of this college is nicely qualified for the job but the main problem with the faculty members is that they are local people which creates a lot of problems. Faculty members should work on their ego also.
