Course Curriculum Overview

4

After completion of B pharm. There are many more opportunities in various sectors such as corporate sector such as Regulatory Affairs. CDM. Pharmacovigilance, etc. Also have opportunities in clinical research ( R and D) and product based Industries. After completion of B pharm. there are also many ways for higher studies such as M pharm. NIPER, MBA, etc. Overall good professional course to pursue.

Placement Experience

4

Placements will be provided, interviews are held by the various companies like Iqvia, mavia, vitrious and other various companies. College will provide interviews and after that all is your responsibility to crack the interview.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year B pharmact fees was around 14500 rupees and for the next 3 years that is 2,3 and 4th year fees is less compares to 1st year that is it may around 8 to 9 thousand rupees. Also you can apply for SSP scholarship throught your academics. Its government scholarship they will provide around 11,000 rupees for first year and 8,000 to 9,000 rupees for next two years ans you will get 12,100 rupees for the final year.

Campus Life

4

Infrastructure of the college is little bit low. It should be improved in all the aspects like lab facilities ans availability of lab technicians and also they should provide canteen facility in the campus which will help hundreds of students. The college had its own library which will provide very vast range of books and references. The library is very good. The college provides verious webinars and career related webinars weekly which is very helpful. Pharmaceutical society almni group of this college provide with scholarships to bright students.

Hostel Facilities

3

I am staying in the hostel only and food is provided. In each room there are 3 members and room is big with beds and cupboards. Coming to the food facility it should be improved. Food is not good they will not provide good food compared to pg.

Admission

I choose this college because its only one Government college in karnataka with very less fees compared to all other colleges. Also college is located in Bangalore center and it has good name in the market field. Admission process is simple. You should attend the UGCET which is conducted by the KEA. After counselling in KEA website you should choose Government college of pharmacy bengaluru during counselling. The B pharm. Rank is given separately based on that you will get this college. To get admission in this college your rank should be within 20,000 in UGCET.

Faculty

4

Teaching faculty is very good with very vast knowledge regarding pharmacy field and they are also friendly with the students. B Pharmacy course is total 4 years and it is semester system which comes under Rajiv gandhi university of health Sciences Bengaluru. Exams are held in the month of may and October with total maximum marks of 75 per exam ans 25 for internal assessment. Exams are evaluated by the RGUHS and results will be declared very soon after completion of examination.

Interview Experience

4

No there is nothing like that. The admision is only based on the UGCET rank and you should provide all the documents such as marksheets and study certificate that's it. There is no admission examination separately by the college.

Night Life

5

College is located in center of the city which will be helpful to the students staying in hostel. All type of shops are there in walkable distance like gym, hotels, stationary shop overall every type of shop is there near to college. Also some of the best places are near to college such as cubbon park and lalbagh and also vidhan soudha.

Placement Experience:

Since I am currently in my first year (2nd semester), I have not directly participated in the campus placement drives yet. However, based on interactions with our seniors and the faculty, students typically become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester (final year). The college has a highly active and dedicated placement cell that works hard to bring in reputed pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Organizations like Apollo Pharmacy, Cipla, and Sun Pharma are known to recruit from our campus. The profiles offered to B.Pharma graduates generally include roles in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Pharmacovigilance, and Clinical Data Management. From what we have been informed, the average package offered to freshers is around ₹3,00,000 per annum, with the highest packages going up to ₹4,50,000 to ₹5,000,000 per annum, depending on the recruiting company and the student's academic performance. A strong majority, roughly 70% to 80% of the students who actively participate in the placement process, successfully secure job offers. As for my personal plans after completing this degree, I aim to join the pharmaceutical industry to gain practical experience, ideally in clinical research or pharmacovigilance. Eventually, I plan to pursue a Master's degree (M.Pharm) to further specialize and advance my career in the healthcare sector.
