Course Curriculum Overview

3

Relevance of bcom in industry on scale of 10 could be around 8/10. Bcom is basic requirement for any lower corporate jobs. As per my opinion teachers teaching methods are good but can be imporovevised .

Placement Experience

2

Placement is shitty in bcom my plan is to complete my course and continue post graduation and do a phd to make some money. But I would still say it's better than most of the colleges for bcom because it gives opportunities to pursue any professional course like CA/CS/CMA

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a second year student of bcom honours studying in AMU department of commerce. First year was around 10950/- Second year fees was around 6990/- Both year hostel fees included in them respectfully. Total number of students in bcom second year are around 200.

Campus Life

5

Campus Life is pretty decent, it offers many workshops for certificates and experience, it offers free gym facility for students and various sport events throughout the year. There are also debate clubs, music club etc

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels have reading room, water cooler , auditorium, games room with billiard, carrom, chess, table tennis, television, Dinning hall with 1400/- month fees. Theres a canteen in each hostel and badminton court.

Admission

I chose this college becouse of its affordability also chances of getting better placement increases after I continue my course with post graduation. Admission process is online and passing percentage when I gave my entrance exam was 11% cutoff goes around 50

Faculty

4

Faculty members of my college are phd holders and faculty to students ratio is 30:750 Two semesters each year and 2 sessionals of 30 marks each. Difficulty of exams are 3/10. Almost no one fails the exam

Interview Experience

5

There was not any interview or group discussion in admission process just had to clear entrance exam and submit hard copy of all documents in my department(college). The admission process after entrance is easy

Night Life

4

Free library, gym facility and cafeterias with decent food. Hostels are clean environment if full of trees and cats????. Students hangout on tea shops and library canteen, turning point(canteen). I don't advice to roam at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is good but i belive there should be more flexibility and more diverse topics should be taught as i mentioned earlier there should be something related to drama and skit and acting as it enriches the creative side of the students and also it is very necessary for a management student to have a creative skills too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core circular is moderately relevant but lens more forward theory than the practical application code, subject cover, fundamental concept and providing a base, but there is limited focus on industrial skill project work, coding or case studies which affect real world redness. Elective options are few restricting subject choice. The labour is mostly fake and really updated making it less aligned with the current industry. Trends exams are conducted twice a year medicine and M with internal contributing about 30% of the mark the frequency naval but timing of clashes with the critical session level is moderate theory tends to focus on road learning rather than the critical thinking. Overall the circular needs to more practical exposure, updated content and flexibility to prepare student for employment or higher studies.

There are total 6 semester in my course. The students become eligible for the course from the 4th semester onwards. The placements are not good in the college. It's very average. The highest package of the college is 4 lakh per annum. The average package of the college is nearly about 2.5 Lakh per annum. The lowest package of the college is 1.8 lakh per annnum. Nearly about 50% of the students got placement from the college. After getting the degree, my plan is to pursue the higher studies and do government exams preparation.

Admission:

The admissions are purely based on merit. The eligibility criteria is a student must have passed INTERMEDIATE WITH 40% FOR GENERAL AND OBC, SC/ST -33% MARKS. There is no Interview and the total number of seats intake are 80. The admission process is quite straightforward and lucid. I chose B.com because it provides a broad scope of employment options and job scope for graduates as a large number of B.Com graduates choose to pursue self-employment or land lucrative salary packages in prestigious companies.

Remarks:

Starting off with the negative effects of attending college. Tuition has skyrocketed over the years leaving college students thousands of dollars in debt right out of high school, since many people cannot afford to fully pay their schooling off. Going in that much debt is a huge benefactor of people attending college because many people just cannot afford it.
