Insights of St. Columba's college of city of lakes, Hazaribagh

I have chosen Bachelor of computer applications because of its growing demand in almost every sector of employment. Mostly in IT sector. This curriculum taught me teamwork, how to work in the software development and to be prepared for recent development in IT field. Rest of the thing is moderately good and doesn't need any improvement.

None of these facilities was provided during my time of course. Though college semester needed the required marks in the given projects in the practicals to get pass in every semester or to get good marks and practical knowledge about the subject.

From last semester the student eligible for campus placement. Companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc visited college campus. Highest package was around 6 lakh and lowest was 2.5 lakh per annum.

The year wise fees i paid for my course is Rs. 30000 Only exam fee charged per semester Rs. 1500 and rest other included in annual fee. The fee was same for everyone. However, scholarship provided by the government was according to reservation category. Since i belong to OBC category 2 so i was paid Rs. 15000.

The youth festival for various dance, drama and other related activities used to take place. Inter college Sports competition also used to take place. The library is also good and the required books is always use to there and if not it was made available for the student.

I did not applied for any other colleges because the college i choose was very good and perfect according to my understanding. The admission process was very simple and not very complex like other colleges. Eligibility criteria required the entrance exam and one need to passed to get addmission.

The faculty to student ratio in my department was good and accordingly. The faculty to student relationship is very good, supportive and there was very good understanding between them. I like Professor Baleshwar Yadav as he is having good knowledge of our subject and he use to make the learning very understanding and practical. I don't like Professor Gautam Sir because his behaviour was unnecessary rude to student. There is total 6 semester and we had given all these exams in 3 years. The difficulty level of exam is moderate to high. Almost all the student passed during my course. The course curriculum was moderatly relevant.

None of these facilities is available except library. Since the college is located in a semi urban city like Hazaribagh so the maximum time for the hangout is till 7pm. The chinese corner located near the college is the best place for enjoying the fast food.
