Course Curriculum Overview

4

I loved Ayurvedic course and it's my dream course. I choose this course to study without any pressure The curriculum does helps students to study and structure their life with ayurveda unless the college helps students completely and make them engage as per curriculum NCISM planned curriculum is good, much detailed and planned idea for students Frequency of exams conducted is bad Tests and exams consumes too much of time from students sometimes, rather than that, they should plan more for practical sessions

Internships Opportunities

2

Students are assigned to different departments with time period of 2 months to learn about that department and subject. They are made to switch department once 2 months are over. Students are assigned to different clinics around the Koppa town for 2 months to learn from allopathy physicians too. Students are assigned with panchakarma therapy duties morning and evening according to their patients needs. Procedures are done by them. Students in internship are not paid in any kind or manner. They travel on their own to clinics and Ayurvedic centers to learn.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides BAMS course of duration 5 and half years which includes last 1 year for unpaid internship. As per 1 year, our batch is paying 300000rs as clg fee which covers library fee, lab fee, travel charges, digital library fee. For students seeking hostel facilities have to pay 50000 for 2 professional years as rent and separate fee for food, which is not upto expectations, even doesn't fit basic stuff.. Hostel students doesn't get electric facilities like UPS when current is gone, cleanliness, hygiene is not complelty good About the teaching, faculty is good, conveying is good. Practical sessions, lab class, patient visits, IP and OP visits are nill. They concentrate completely on theory classes. The fee structure of college raises by 50000 almost with upcoming new batches. Even the hostel rent too gets rise up. Scholarship is available for categories, some students got it's benifits. Internship duration of 1 year is completely unpaid, stay fund is also not provided. Financial aid and merit is also not there.

Campus Life

1

Campus life is boring, students are made to listen to classes most of times, campus doesn't have canteen or resting place. There is no exposure to social events frequently, choosed programs are conducted that too very less time. Clubs are there for name sake. They are not functioning.

Admission

Our college is good at teaching, almost completes students requests only regarding studies, provides study materials like notes, books, ppt, seminars, guest lectures to help students Classes runs back to back, subjects are covered almost, revisions are done to help students. Faculty keeps students in check and monitors their growth in studies along with improvement. Admission to our college requires clearing NEET examinations with passing marks. Cutoffs are as per the NEET boards itself, Cutoffs varies according to categories.

Faculty

4

Faculties are good, genuniley helps students once approached, clears doubts and teaches topics again and again if asked without turning students down. They provide students with tasks, projects, home works, assignment to help understand the topic. Chart sheets, ppt, seminars are conducted. To assess the understanding level of students they conduct internal tests once twice a month, preparatory exam once a semester, viva, and class tests too Some students who fails exam, are made to solve question paper again, and answer to respected teacher within period of time

Night Life

1

There is no gym, cafeteria, public areas in our campus. You can roam around the hostel upto 9pm only. Students should reach their rooms back at 9pm strictly. Library is there, which will gets closed by 8 pm everyday except Sunday. Hostel students are not supposed to leave campus any day but on sunday that too only for 2 hours with permission. Boys have their outing time at evening on Sunday. Students have to report back on stipulated time to hostels. College starts from 9 15 am to 5 15 pm, Monday to Saturday. Locality is safe as Koppa is small city. City is friendly too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The approch of ayurveda to patient is subjective as it focuses on each body type rather than general approach for disease. The curriculum for us is RS7 which is designed in such a way that not only theritical aspects will be clear but also we learn about practical approach to the patient as well. As if now the revised syllabus is very much improved it's difficult to suggest any changes now . The exams are very well planned

Remarks:

Uhmm. Positive aspects of the college is that there is a lot of scope in the internship where there is a large spectrum of cases where one gets to learn and the negative aspect being the college resides in between the city which is quite disturbing as Bangalore traffic is insane and the campus is kinda small.
