Course Curriculum Overview

5

Well I decided at the starting that i will choose this course so its curriculum didn't affect my decision much. The curriculum is very effective and flexible. Every section has different curriculum personalized for that particular section. There are also breaks in between classes so its not like you have continuously 6 hours of classes everyday which is a good thing as because of this I don't stress out and have enough time for hone my other skills and also enjoy college life. The curriculum as stated previously is personalized designed with every new practically applicable and in demand in industry subject that helps us prepare for job interviews. It's also have personality development subjects like life skills that teach how to give interviews, how to present yourself in interviews, how to respond to questions you don't have answer for, etc. The first in sem is usually after 1 to 1.5 month after the start of the semester. Second is same 1.5 to 2 month after that and the 3rd in sem is 7 days before end sem. Sometimes can be held early. Its difficult but much if you study properly passing and scoring are actually easy.

Internships Opportunities

5

Throughout the year many companies visit the campus for intership opportunities the stipend is usually from 15000rs to 200000rs sometimes it can even be 0. Since i myself am new i don't know much about projects and the roles given to the interns.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible for placement from around 7th to 8th sem. All the fintech companies fang companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Salesforce, etc. Highest Package for 2024 was 53 LPA From Microsoft. Average Package is 6.5 to 7 LPA. No. Of offers made were 2000 and around 200 companies visited. Percentage of students getting placed ranges between 85 to 95 percent. I personally plan to try my best to get placement before my graduation. After Graduation I'll do Job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly Tuition fee is around 215000rs and as for the hostel fees it depends on what hostel you choose there are two options available outer and inner hostel. For outer hostel the fee is around 130000rs excluding electricity bill. For inner hostel it's around 165000rs including electricity bill. Registration fee is 10000rs. Depending on your caste, Special cases, marks, and other criteria you can avail scholarship of 10%,20%, and 30%. But its mandatory to have your attendance >=75%.

Campus Life

5

The biggest fest of the year is Called Rythm. There also various other events that happens throughout the year like JU art, Ju multimedia, Hackathons, Sports Competition like football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, also Esports Competition for Ludo, chess, and also competitive esport like Valorant, CS2, also festival celebration(Diwali, Holi, Sankranti, etc), etc. The libraries are big with extensive collection of books. There are almost 100 clubs clubs like for multimedia, esports, coding, art, etc.there are student portal which are very helpful as the student can easily submit their assignments there, check their marks, and also keep track of their attendance in each subject.

Hostel Facilities

5

The outer hostel is an apartment style hostel where there are 2,3,and 4 bhk flats in each room there will be two student like for example in a 2bhk flat 4 student will live. There are two bathrooms one attached one common. One kitchen and induction is allowed. Three Air Conditioner one in each room and one in hall. The warden is especially helpful and kind and helps us resolve any issue. Fee is 130000 without electricity bill. You can choose between inner and outer hostel at the time of hostel allotment.

Admission

Well I did a diploma before b.tech and because of this the number of colleges where i can get admission in b.tech cse 2nd year were limited and after doing some research and taking advice from my family I came to join Jecrc University. I didn't applied to any other college. I don't Know about other student with regular admission but for my case as Lateral Entry to B.tech 2nd year CSE, I actually got direct admission as diploma holder are given direct admission here as long as your 12th marks are >= 60 percent. I filled their online admission form on their website after that I got a call from the Lateral Head Admission Head Ms. Varsha Gupta mam who then followed me through the admission process.

Faculty

5

There are around 200 to 300 total faculty members and since last year 2024 massive amounts of admissions were recorded around 9000 new students so there are approximately 26-28000 students. I am not gonna lie but The teachers are very approachable like I can guarantee that you'll hardly find any teacher's in other colleges as approachable as them like they are so ready to listen to our problems and helps us at the best of their abilities. As for my favorite teachers:- Sonam. L mam, Ratish kumar sir, Himanshu sharma sir, Abhishek Sharma Sir, and Ramandeep kaur mam, and many more. I personally don't dislike many teachers but if i had to pick one then Arpita Gupta mam everything else is okay but she is very strict about attendance like if there is a student who has lets say 74% attendance and requires 1% more, the other teachers give the attendance but she absolutely does not only until and unless an order from the dean comes. Per semester there a four exam of them three are in sem or seasonal exams and the last is the end sem or final exam. It's mandatory to give both 1st and 2nd in sem. The third in sem is optional It's for those students who didn't give any one of the first or second in sem because of a genuine reason. So yearly 8 exams in total.

Night Life

5

There are no gym. There are three big cafeteria. Two library. And three gardens and grounds. As I am in the outer the locality around me is safe i don't know about inner hostel but my friend's say its safe. Timing is that the hostel closes at 10pm after that no entry or exit is allowed. And will only be allowed in with wardens permission or if there is any special case like for example arriving from home.

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
