True and Fair view on 'Kohima College, Kohima '

The courses included is very distinct and very educational according to me.I think the students preference plays a pivotal role which helps them take interest in particular course which would ultimately help in real-world job hunting in the department they desire. The authorities and faculties can provide for more practical activities which help students to afresh minds and learn better. The examination timings is 3 hours for a paper and I think it is a standard time allotted and I have no problem regarding it. I think every paper will be difficult if we are not prepared and vice versa.

Since Kohima College, Kohima is a Government College we do not have to pay tuition fees,except for the admission fee which is around 4500 from each semester. The amount for registration fees,development fees, Library fees including uniform is paid on the first day of admission to the college.They charges an amount of 9000. The scholarship amount for a day scholar students is around 8000 which is received in two installments,while the hostellers receives around 10000 or above. There are various financial aid programs for excellence students which provides financial aids to merit students.

The college have various programs held in the college campus. The cultural day is held in the odd semester around the month of March or April. Then there is also farewell program for the outgoing students for final semester.There is also literature compition held in the odd semester and the winners are awarded with cash prize along with highlight of their work in the annual magazine. The even semester is for the sports and fresher meet where new students admitted are welcome to the college.The college also prepares for fete day which is held on the month of November where department showcases their stalls and other various creative activities .

The other college I applied for was Dimapur Government College and I even got selected in the college.The main reason I chose my college over the other is the weather conditions of the place but also because of recommendation from few alumini from this college. The admission process in this college is the merit basis.There is no examination required to appear after the selection by merit basis in this college.

As a commerce student,the faculty -to -student ratio is around 1:45 in each of the semester class. But for the arts classroom the ratio of students is quite large against the faculty. Different faculty have different type of relationship with the students. The commerce faculties are very approachable as all the faculties members are of late 20s and early 30s and as such there is not much of gap between the faculties and the students. I like our Sir Zavi as he is one of the nicest teacher I have known in my whole student life.He is a very soft spoken person with a very high teaching spirit. He is always there whenever we need him and always helps us when in need. The college conducts an internal exam after two months from the date of start of semester and conducts the main external exam at the end of the semester.

There is no gym and the cafeteria, library are all closed according to the class hours. My hostel is located near the college areas and we do hang around the college outer campus but it feels weird with no students around. The college locality is quite safe as there are many residents and shops in and around the college area.
