What Students Say
Likes
- I like the fact that due to small student intake per year the focus on individual students is greater than as compared to other colleges whose intake vary in thousands .
- The events and invited guest talks are very engrossing to individuals and also due to smaller student body size interactions between students is not bound by college years.
- The main highlight definetely has to be the faculty. All the faculty members in the college are immensly qualified and are at a level of providing great opportunities to aspiring students .
Dislikes
- I do dislike the campus size , in accordance to the fees being paid by individual students the infrastructure is poorly lacking .
- Lack of sports facilities is also a downside as it severly reduces recreational opportunities in the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Campus Life
The overall campus experirence is not that positive as due to small campus size , the options of recreation and enjoyement are severly limited . There is also no option for hostel facilites in the campus for boys . Although the college is located in a fairly populated area . Many festives take place in the college during the semesters like the Vibrations'24 that took place recently .Ample facilites are available within the classrooms like projectors and air conditioning . Multiple clubs are present and the sports festival takes place in the main Ranchi campus
Admission
I chose this college because it was available as per my JOSSA ranking and since it was a well established name. I also received admission in VIT but chose this over it primarily because of the students intake . The eligiblity criteria until the last year was pretty lax in this institute as admission was being provided upto lakhs in JEE rank . The admssion process was fairly simple a admission form was filled and then a cut off list was issued by the institute .
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite good , around 10 students per faculty member can be seen . The relation between the faculty and student is quite interactive and helps one to invoke knowledge about new paths and opportunity . Many great and well achieved faculty members are present in the institute like the director piyush tiwari sir , Dr.Anand shrivastava , Snehanshu Shekar sir and many others . Many of the faculty members have achieved a doctorate in their respective fields and are well versed in teaching them to new students . Some faculty members are sometimes adamant and difficult to reason with but you can find such people at every place not something special to the institute . There are two quizes both of 10 marks , a mid semster exam of 25 marks and an end semester exam of 50 marks . The exams are fairly leveled for the students , not execessively difficult neither liesurely easy . Some students did fail in the examinations . The course curriculum is not fully relevant but also not totally old . For instance , biology is being taught by great faculty members to enginnering students as bio engineering is a very promising field in upcoming time and gene editing for instance is a field in which many bio engineers will be required . Thus all the career paths are being made available by exposing students to every possible subjects needed for their growth.
Night Life
As the campus size is severly limited and no hostel are provided to boys , not much can be said about the night campus life . Although if you live in PG or seperate hostels then you can enjoy the night life of jaipur.
