What Students Say
Likes
- There are a variety of clubs and social activities to join.
- Attendance is flexible. Students don't get debarred if attendance is low.
- Faculty is understanding and helpful in most cases.
Dislikes
- Only one faculty member is there to teach over 20 courses which are completely different from each other. Thankfully the faculty is nice.
- The college keeps coming up with new additional fees.
- Practica experience is not given to students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most importantly, the curriculum promised practical exposure which was not provided by the college. The curriculum in itself is not very comprehensive. Subjects repeat through semesters without advancements in their level of difficulty.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship is available. The fee structure is a mess. Total fee for 4 semesters is 4 lacs. 1lac per semester. There are a lot of additional fees. 9K for each end semester exams i.e. additional 36K. 4K for college uniform which is compulsory. 450 for 2 id cards. 2k enrollment fee. 2k application fee. 2k security fee. 50rs penalty if the student isn't wearing uniform. 1600 fee for facilities such as sports Complex. Students were told clearly before admission that beyond the 4lac+2k application fees, no additional fees will be charged, which was not true.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is nice. It's a private university so a lot of activities and facilities are there. There are a variety of sports, a large library, different clubs. Events and fests are often held. Not much is available outside the campus.
Admission
I didn't apply to any other colleges as pursuing a master's degree was a last minute decision. The admission process is not difficult. You just pay the fees and get admission. There's no merit based admission or entrance exam or personal interview.
Faculty
Dr shailendra is the only faculty member. But he is very helpful throughout the college. There are only 5 other students so he pays attention to every student individually. Course curriculum is not very nice. Subjects are repetitive without advancement in difficulty across semesters. Topics overlap so there's not much room to expand your knowledge.
Night Life
Hostel timings for girls is 5 pm which can be extended to 7 pm with parents' approval. A few run off the mill cafes are there outside of campus but for a good spot, you need to go at least 6 kilometres away towards main jaipur city.
