Remarks
I am pursuing CA so I go to college the day I feel like so I didn't have any good experience there but people doing the only BCom have great fun enjoying their college life. But one thing is for sure if you are from a reputed Pvt school you will have to face a lot of difficulties here since it is a government college n action takes time here unlike in private college. So please don't expect private college life here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Presently I am in 1st year and I have had my mid-semester and it was good. The Course curriculum is diversified and you have the different subject in a different semester. The pattern followed here is CBCS pattern. Moreover, if you are into any professional course like CA or CS then this 3 year will be a cakewalk for you. In short, you will be having a total of 6 semesters and each semester has a mid-semester and an end semester.
Placement Experience
As I mentioned above am in first year, BCom so I have less exposure about it but I have heard that some people get the internship I guess in the third year but to the farthest of my knowledge, I have little idea about internship.
College Events
For a BCom graduate the college life is great. It's the only department where fresher is done in hotels we had our fresher in Suryansh hotel while other departments had there fresher in the college itself. Moreover, a number of events take place throughout the year like debate essay and coming to the sports department our college takes part in almost all inter-college and University tournament.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As it is a government college the fee is very nominal less than 3000 a year. I gave admission fees 1287 then 1500 for uniform and now 1100 if I correctly remember for the semester (1 and2). I don't think the college takes any more money than this. I am not certain about other department am saying for the commerce department.
Fees and Financial Aid
A number of scholarship are available based on both merit and family income. You can talk to the head of the student council member about scholarship.
Campus Life
As I said it is a government college so don't expect more. The infrastructure for commerce and science is ok but the art department is well equipped and lavish as it is newly constructed. But one good thing is a new mall has just been opened near the college so you can hang out there. The gender ratio is I guess 1:1 both boys to girls ratio is proportional and almost equal in number.
Alumni/Alumna
Many great personality is the alumni of this college as it is one of the best government colleges of Odisha.
Admission
The admission process is very simple you need to register online in the common entrance form giving a preference of minimum five. If you get selected for the job then BINGO. They will allow you a date and you need to go to the college to complete your admission process the seniors help a lot in the internal procedure so it's just and fair.
Faculty
As of now, as to my knowledge all the faculty are highly educated but they lack the enthusiasm to teach in the class of 100 students. Some teacher is very student-friendly while others just teach for the sake of exams and give only exam-oriented questions to prepare and come.
