College Review

Our college is overall good. There are some extreme restrictions on many things which need to be modified. The institution is touching the heights of success day by day by providing various new facilities for the welfare of people. I wish all the very best for the institution for all its achievements.

Course Curriculum is good. But there should be some flexibility for the prescribed hours. Due to very vast curriculum, we are not able to complete/ study the entire topics in limited time and we get very little time for revision. Timely evaluation should be done.

There is no confirm placement here until we have given exam for recruitment/ staff selection and got selected. As we are studying here, they should provide good job opportunities for us for a span of time to get the experience. We are trying hard and requesting them for our placements here.

Events like Health related days are celebrated here based on the themes given by World Health Organisation to spread awareness. Various competitions are done like poster making, debate, essay writing etc. Various workshops and seminars are also conducted. Nurse's Day celebration take place. Swachhta Pakhwada and Hindi Pakhwada are conducted. And many more to be listed.

The fee structure is feasible for all but there are some additional charges which are not feasible at some point of the time. There are many assignments and other useless work which consumes lot of money and it's compulsory for all to do in the same manner/ fashion whether the students can afford or not.

There is no such good scholarship / loan facility offered by our college unless provided by Government of India and that too for SCs/STs. There is no provision of any scholarship in our college. Instead we have never think about it here, and if it is provided or has some provision, we are not aware about it.

Our institution is very good at all these. Yet labs are not equipped with all the articles required. There is no proper supply of all the items. If they are present, either they are not in adequate number or are very old. In the aspects of extra curricular activities and sports, the institution is doing very best at its level.

The existing hostel infrastructure and facilities is good yet not provided by all basic facilities. Some more facilities and infrastructure is required. Many a times, lift is not functioning properly and it takes so many days to be repaired. And sometimes some other issues happen in rooms regarding fan/ electricity and there is no immediate solution for any thing.

There is no such alumni network formed yet. And I don't know if there is any alumni network is existing. We are in contact with some of the senior students personally not through the institution. If there will be alumni network, it might be helpful for all.

Exam structure is good but they should focus on each chapter/unit test rather than taking exam for many units at a time. Exams should be done step by step, first for each units and then collectively few units. Exams of many units at a stretch poses great burden for students. There are two sessional exams, one model exam and one final ( professional ) exam are conducted here for all subjects in each year.

I have given entrance exam for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing conducted by AIIMS , New Delhi. AIIMS, New Delhi conducts a common exam for all AIIMS. I got selected in entrance exam and was called for counseling at AIIMS, New Delhi under general category. According to my rank(AIR - 187), I got AIIMS Bhubaneswar. I reported here and documents verification was done for the admission procedure and other formalities were done like medical check up. We have given admission fees for this college at the time of counseling in AIIMS, New Delhi itself.

Our entire faculty is very good. Yeah, some teachers are very strict but they are like this either intentionally/ non intentionally for the betterment of their students. Sometimes their behavior is a harm for the psychological state of the students. Students are not able to cope with some situations and they get frustrated.
