I like the campus of my college , skylab .

campus is very small which is really annoying
Here the cultural events are not celebrated like pujas

Course Curriculum Overview

course curriculum is really nice they teach various cources which is helpful for career aspects and the best thing is that we do practical too for better understanding of the courses.In each semester there is 2 exam midsem of 25 mark and endsem of 60 marks. the difficulty level is moderate

Internships Opportunities

there are several internship opportunities that our college provides with stipend. students can get internship according to their domain like Aptus lab for cloud computing , HP labs , Micron , mindfire

Placement Experience

The placement is excellent . Near about 80 and above percentage of students get placed in the academic year of 2023 and various companies visit our campus for placement drives. The average package is about 5 lakhs per annum

Campus Life

Our annual fest is Zygon which is a cultural fest and Nirman is A TECH fest which occurs every year . there are various clubs in our college such as music club, dance club , zeal club, switch club , ieee club

Hostel Facilities

In our room we are provided with a bed , mattress, pillow , table , chair , cupboard. the meal quality is moderate its neither too bad not too good its kind of average . the registration process for hostel is done right after the admission

Admission

I got a spot admission here in ECE branch on the basis of my JEE score as i was pre[aring for neet but doing BTech was my last moment decision here.I didnot applied for any other colleges as doing btech was my last moment decision

Faculty

In our college the faculty members are well educated and really supporting i love the teaching methods they apply to make students understand . I like annapurna maam a lot because of her humble and kind nature she helps every student

Night Life

Night life in our campus is amazing i really like to be a hostellite and the best part of being a hostellite is nightlife here. my favourite hangout place here is ABD and skylab i enjoy a lot with my friends here

Placement Experience:

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

A balanced blend of learning,growth, and memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly comprhensive covering core subjects in the first two years and advanced electives like AI,cloud and Data analytics later, which influenced my decision to join. It balances theory with labs and projects,preparing students for real-world applications and higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester plus finals with moderate difficulty. Improvement is needed in making some courses ore practical and updating a few outdated topics.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Remarks:

College is surrounded by beautiful nature. 7-8 km from college is Hirakud Dam which is the longest Earthen dam in Asia. The Place Burla which college is located is away from traffic and city chaos and is very peaceful place to roam around for getting peace of mind.

A good university with a good environment. Healthy atmosphere.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.

Entrance Preview:

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.
